It's not you!!! That is a very happy dog inside the cab! hahaha As for the Jeep comments... pound for pound "out of the box", the defender is in a league of it's own over any Jeep. You seem many more Jeeps because they are trendy and very affordable, not to mention unlimited upgrades to replace their suspect stock parts.
Dude Land Rover doesn't suck. I've seen Land Rovers take a shit on Toyotas and vice versa. It depends on the driver. Toyotas are good but they are not the best if fact nothing is.
As for anyone else who would like to say something about a jeep being a wimpy vehicle or anything else to that effect before you post please understand that in my location defenders start at about 30 grand and jeeps 5. So Defenders are far less cost effective than the jeep.
yes yes we all know the Hummer sucks but here is an idea why not take the money you would invest in a Hummer or Defender and put it in a real off road vehicle like a Jeep.
Yes I am sure it would be. I have owned both and I love the Jeep much more than any rover. And with the Defenders price tag of at least triple of what I can get a jeep for it better go over anything.
If you looked at my profile you would read that I am from the U.S. and since you can not purchase a new defender here as they are not imported a 95 Defender cost $40,000 a 95 Wrangler is $4,200 at the same place (traderonline)
40000$ seems a bit un-realistic, a brand new defender cost around 20000GBP which would cost around $40000. Shame though that you can't buy them in the states.
You're saying then that a Jeep would be no good off-road, so its a car to try to look good in. In that case its not a 'real' off road vehicle. Price dosen't come into this. Everybody agrees the Hummer shouldn't exist, that good, very good.
If you look at videos of jeeps on here you will find them driving through and over more than I have seen any rover going over or through. Also check out our magazines 4wheeler, off road, JP,rock crawler etc. you will not see but a few rovers mostly jeeps and custom buggys
my brother owns a jeep and i own a land rover and my rover out performs his jeep his jeep breaks down my rover never gave problems howere his jeep burns less gas than my rover

Sure, after you dump thousands and thousands into those things. And they are on cute little courses where people hang around, drink Starbucks and pat each other on the bum.
That's the way an engine should sound. The shots of the switches was genius.
RE: Hummer comments. Humvees were called hummer long before the squishy consumer crap was made. The new ones are trash. You might as well drive a Pontiac aztec.
Actually a Hummer is more like a lifted 1985 full size Buick sedan. Hummer's sucks because they are weak. Just a coat of paint with some misplaced chrome slapped on - Nothing at all.
a Hummer is basicly a big squishy Cadillac on wheels. A Hummer is no HumVee. I know because I've driven the Hummer. It's big and clumbsy - reminds me a lot of those late 70's/ early 80's pig corvettes. The only guys that drive Hummers are also big and slow.
*** This is very important - Girls DON'T did fat guys and their road hog hummers.***
Is this a Land Rover Defender 110 Camel Trophy from the Tiera Del Fuego trip? Beautiful car.

How can you possibly say that a Defender is not an offroad vehicle, then go on to tell people to get a soft-roader like a jeep.
You're actually so retarded it pains me.

Real off-road vehicle like a Jeep. A jeep would be scared off by a sword of grass, the defneder will go on what ever the terrain

that 'panting' noise was the sound of a turbodiesel engine, powerful yet doesnt drink fuel like in the plastic hummer h2.
