We use to make this flute from the tree in the spring when the juice is rising. Now we just use an electrician/plummer thin plastic tube. Makes the same sound, and are a lot of fun for the kids.
When I was a kid we use to make flutes like that every spring when the juice in that tree was rising. Now we use a thin plastic electrician tube - makes the same sound, and a lot of fun for the kids. The flute is called "tussefløyte" in Norwegian, a "tusse "is a small capricorn/troll that lives in the forrest.
