yes, those other things you mention are possible too. however we do this a lot when we land. i've seen plenty of guys do this in freakin fast hurricanes/funnels, just a few feet from their face. the crowd is in danger regardless.

The blades on a helicopter that size are actually quite heavy....about the weight of a small sword. And they are spinning quite fast....about 1800 RPMs...when the helicopter is flying. There is enough kinetic energy in them to easily, EASILY kill a person should they strike him/her in the neck or head, or cause severe injuries hitting him elsewhere.

I fly these things. They are very, very dangerous when not flown in the proper settings.
