Theres nothing wrong with this song. God is happy with us as long as we r praising him..it doesnt matter how as long as we r.
And for those of u that r posting bible verses.. the bible also says that if we (as people) r not praising and worshiping him then the rocks will do it. and trust me, no rocks were crying out to him at all that weekend. even when we played this song.
before u judge what is going on try coming to see it for urself.
dont let them say any thang about this song thats bad this song is good and the people that dont git it that christ is the only thang u need to git crunk than ceap praying for thim and ceap doing a good jop with the drames and skits u do
The bible also says that the saints of God will let there light shine among the ppl of the world.. How can u, being a chrsitian, let your light shine if your doing the dances the world does?? and then bringing them INTO God's house at that?? Praise God and give Him glory, dont get "crunk" for Him.
.. why would you want to get "crunk" for Christ when you can just praise and magnify His name..? If ur truly ONLY trying to praise God then you dont want to do it as the worl u want to do it as He wants.
ok well put yourself in the shoes of a kid who was livin in the hood and just got saved...hip hop and "gettin crunk" is all they know. So when they go to worship they don't know what else to do so instead of gettin crunk just because...the do it for God as THEIR MEANS OF WORSHIP!!!!!
how do you NOT get crunk for Jesus? all i know is that ever since He came into my life, all i want to do is praise Him- that's all these kids were doing. & they happened to be doing it in a way that got ALL the kids there "crunk" for Jesus- praising him all weekend. for alot of these kids, all they know is rap/hip hop music- this was just praising Jesus in a way that related to their style. it was great.
THANK YOU VARSITY. I'm actually in this dance and all we were doing was giving God praise. In this day and age it's hard to win teens to Christ, so we have to get the message out there in a way that we know they will listen, this just happened to be the method we chose. This is only a small part of what happened that weekened......
....I wish you could have seen the last night when tons of people were throwing their condoms, cigarettes, and tobacco on the stage being freed from addictions and giving their lives to God. It was amazing.
have u ever thought that maybe they only gettin crunk for Him is cuz they like the real version?? Why would u want to mix the world with God... the Almighty and powerful..? there is a line that NO MATTER how old or young needs to stay defined. If u truly want to praise Him, you'll do it as the bible tells u to. point blank age makes no difference

You guys should realy think about wat yall are doin. I mean ur takin rap music, which is and ALWYS WILL B, of the DEVIL n bringin it into the church. You guys are disresepcting GOD! you can't take rap music n make it gospel!! you just can't.. i hope u understand what im sayin. im not hatin, not tryin to start mess... im jus tellin the truth.
"you can't take rap music and mike it gospel!! you just can't.."
Why?
Rap music is not "of the devil" I can understand how you might see that certain songs that talk about sex and drugs fit your "devilish" description but this song has completely christian lyrics.
And have you never heard of gospel rap artists? Grits, T-Bone, Lecrae, M.S.O.G, Yung Jules....all spreading the word of the gospel, so why does it matter if the words are to a hip beat if it's still Gods message?
I'll clean up what she said a lil. I'm gonna guess and say that she meant hip hop shouldn't be brought into the church. you are correct ins aying there is nothing wrong with rap music, for rap is an artform to convey messages, but Hip hop is an established lifestyle, which the original song "Soulja boy" is a part of. Me, as a gospel music producer, can tell you that the spiritual influences of hip hop music are not disestablished just cause Holy lyrics are put over a soulja boy beat.
what i mean by that is, that beats are not genre specific until lyrics are laid over them. I make tracks all the time, but just cause people rap or people BELIEVE that they're for hip hop doesnt mean it is. The superman was created for the world, not the body of christ, so was the track. Da TRUTH, LACREA, and other gospel rappers that you mentioned do not use secular producers because they understand the spiritual significance in the worldy music. thats how this isnt really pleasing God
yes. i've heard of all the above artist. and i actually have one of grits and The truth cd's. but your talking about something diff. there's a big difference in making gospel rap and taking rap and trying to make it gospel. gospel rap is and solely is for God n only God. what they were doing is taking rap that had no intentions for God and trying to make it for Him. God deserves the best of the best. not sloppy seconds and re-don songs from the world.... thats wat i'm saying. think about it.
awesome
