  • would you recommend this with a 600D?

  • what's that green bit on your hotshoe?

  • @bassmanTV Its a level

  • canon has an ef 8-15

  • @app411 yeah but that is an f/4 and it is fish eye, so not much use at all

  • Good to hear that you going to review it, ive been thinking about getting it to add to my 24-70 and 70-200

635g you think that is heavy then try the other two lenses i said, 1kg and 1.5kg :) I'm sure you can handle it with all those weights you have been doing :)

  • that lens is also fulltime manuel focus to right? meaning even in auto focus you can still adjust the focus buy hand?

  • Canon has an 8-15 f/4L but it's a fisheye.

  • @jnskyliner34 and it is VERY expensive

  • Strange, I was expecting it to have a lot more glass on the front by how big it looked but the actual glass area is small.

  • hi dom... i see that you are testing out the 5d mkII. have you started using it with any type of off camera flash? i'm curious, because i seem to be coming across an issue with mine and using the flash. i'll wait and see if you have any issues before i say what it is...

  • When did you start using Scott Bourne's intro music from "Going Pro" podcast?

  • Hey Dom just a quick question for you. I enjoy the videos but do you have any idea when you will be posting anymore videos of photo shoots that you have done or are going to do? Like the behind the scenes and final processing videos. Thank you.

  • this is excellent .. because i don't think that lens has been reviewed befor on the internet.

  • Id love to have this lens but 82mm is a deal breaker, all my filters are 77mm

  • You might as well get a thread converter Dom!

  • I'm curious what your shirt says. It looks like a photography play off the periodic table but that's as far as I can see!

  • @vagabond197979 google photography periodic table.....

  • Dom. What shops in the UK do you get your used gear from ?

  • i like my 17-35mm f2.8L, its only $250 but has a lot stronger barrel distortion and pretty bad chromatic abberation at 17mm f2.8, however i got it for band perfomances which i usually convert to black and white anyway.

  • Are you planning to buy a battery grip for vertical shooting?

  • theres a fullframe 8-15usm fisheye dom.

  • Where do you get your second hand gear Dom? Is it a shop in Edinburgh?

  • "equal to 1 chuff" lol!

  • Comment removed

  • @olyezay ya but the 8-15 is a fish eye for wide angle there 14mm is a wide as it gets

  • ya if you really want to give canon a try you have to try out there 70-200 2.8 is ii and some primes even there new fish eye is bad ass i really want to try there 14mm too.

  • hate it when lenses way as much as a chuff.

  • Dom there is Nikkor 14-24 f/2.8 which is also Full Frame

  • Dom have you switched to Canon photography ??

I know you have the D700 and you trusty faithful Fuji camera as well,

So have you switched to canon DSLR as well my friend ....

  • @trotty68 just thoroughly testing out all the options out there.

  • @trotty68 Does it really matter?

  • @ghpatriot Hell Yes of course it matter if you basically use Nikon equipment Derrrrrrrr

  • Chuff

    Urban dictionary says:

    "

The name for a women's genitalia or more commonly pubic area.

    Used on smack the pony.

    Nice chuff!!!

    "

  • are you switching to canon? :O

  • @Dombowerphoto loving the new "OTT yet perfectly timed" on-screen labels! Keep up the good work!

  • Why Dom, why......

  • How come you bought that lens for Canon and not for Nikon? You can use the adapter. Your 11-16mm is intended for full frame and I think usually at 16mm...

  • @ionixify The 11-16 is a crop frame lens but I've read it can be used at 16 or even 15mm. You wouldn't really use a G lens on Canon anyway*, only Nikons with aperture rings, and for video only. I'm guessing Dom is getting that for stills, so Canon mount is the way to go.

    * Landscape photogs use the Nikon 14-24 G on Canon bodies, but that's because the Canon 14mm isn't nearly as good and they have the time to MF.

  • i saw one go on ebay for like 250 pound

  • @MegaAfroGuy the version 2?

  • @MegaAfroGuy should i say sold for 250

  • @MegaAfroGuy if it was £250 it was not this lens, either that or it was seriously damaged

  • Lol at 635 equal to 1 chuff!! :-D

  • Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM II (is how it should be said. You'll get the hang of it haha).

You should try getting a 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II. Thoses two lenses are 2 of the best lenses. Considering that's really the only Canon lens you have (well.. from what I've seen), you would really have fun with the others, because they feel so different from Nikon (I'm a Canon user.. but I've used Nikon). Enjoy your 16-35 haha it's a lens that is definitely on my list of what to get!

  • @BrandonKingVloggin How do they feel different? I know the zoom & focus goes the opposite way, but is the friction different? Does the weight balance feel different or something?

  • @Hynee Part of it's the design too (i mean overall): Take the 70-200 f/2.8 IS/VR II's from both and one looks fatter while the other one looks longer and skinnier.. I guess you just feel more accustomed to which ever one you shoot. it doesn't bother me or anything because I like both and I'm starting a Nikon collection soon too haha.

  • @BrandonKingVloggin OK, thx for reply, I would probably never notice those sort of differences, I'm not really that finely tuned in with my gear!

  • @Hynee Really the only huge difference is the way you zoom haha. Just opposite.. but it's fun when my friends hand me their Nikon gear.

  • First!

No but that lens is just huge..

  • @kipsus But it's a beautiful lens!

  • @BrandonKingVloggin - Best served FullFrame

  • @TheOriginalJoeBloggs Indeed!
