My goodness... what a lot of misunderstanding about the meaning of the 'Dutch mountains'. No, there aren't any mountains in the Netherlands (that's what the country is called, not 'Holland'), so it's a metaphor for buildings - which is, in fact, explicitly said in the lyrics. You just have to listen to the song to understand.

The original video makes it even more clear: endless rows of identical houses - that's the Netherlands for you.

Zo veel moeite gedaan om het dit nummer te gaan zoeken en erger nog je hebt er naar moeten luisteren terwijl je kort maar toch briljant poëtisch berichtje achter te laten. it's about the place i said before... not about dikes or anything else. He sings 'i was born in a valley of bricks. Dutch Mountains is just a place with buildings. Thats also why you hear the sample 'buildings'in the end.

I've been their fan since I heard their song for the first time over 20 years ago. I bought all their recordings I found, vinyls and CDs.

They have a unique sound and the vocalist has a personal voice. It is fine they are still playing.
