  • Break every monopoly and the economy would repair itself in two years. Make employment limits, revenue limits, and asset limits. Yes this would break up GM Ford Bank of America, Microsoft, AIG, Monsanto, UPS, and all their rivals. Then the schools and the post office and the highways ect. It's just that easy.

  • legalize marijuana-->tax marijuana--->keep marijuana dealers in school

  • You dont even know what your talking about

  • bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbboooooooooooooooobbbbbbbbbbbssssssss

  • Just more Reganomics Bull! What he's talking about really is Town Hall business. Or rather City Hall business. People like my father spout this nonsense too- he'd screw over his employees in instant, has tantrums over the smallest workplace safety rules, dumps chemicals, and can't through his thick skull why my grandfather's people won't work for him. I own a third of that business and there is no Hell like a Limbaugh/Reaganomics Zombie Hell!

  • @dnb419 *government

  • @dnb419 check yourself idiot. Out of every dollar oil companies sell of oil, the GOVERNMENT takes 90-95 cents worth in federal and state taxes. The few cents left if profit. So if your billion dollar profits number are correct, how much more is the giver met making???

  • I wonder if he is so "inspired" for his fellow tax paying Americans Health care.. and Medicare.. which I'm sure he wants to cut funding to.. Protect business from "rules" and laws.. which allow them to skirt EPA standards? Please.. Let's be honest here.. Let's see where your campaign donations are coming from..

  • This is the same way politicians always are. Making a general statement with no specifics. I want to hear exactly how deregulation is specifically going to want to hire more people and not just fatten their checkbooks and it cost us or the environment. All of what he says in this video gives me nothing to consider.

  • The right doesn't realize that corporate abuse of government policy is very real and very terrible, but the left doesn't realize that the solution is not to kill the little men with taxes. So, if senator corporate elite here would also suggest ending corporate welfare, i'd agree with him.

  • Regulation is what gives that money to the oil companies. We need to end corporate welfare. Big business uses regulations and taxes to choke the smaller companies while receiving subsidies from the government. In a truly free market, the big companies could not use the government to their advantage in such a way. We need less regulations to help economic growth, as well as getting rid of corporate welfare.

  • Sir, your name is "moran." With a name like that you have no credibility.

  • We give all this money to the government and alls they say is figure it out...if they wanted to fix this they would have by now.the fact is they are making too much money from all of this

  • Sen Moran, you mean well I think and that's about it. Start local fundraiser's in your OWN community for your peoples need's not promises with no outcome sorry mate where's the bare nuckle street work?

  • Boo

  • windbag!

  • Great video

  • Than

  • The most important is the people need I say more..

  • Regulations would put so STOP to rising gas costs, tax loopholes for the rich, prescription costs, AND BILLION dollar subsidies the OIL COMPANIES get out of our pockets even though they reported BILLION DOLLAR assets for the first quarter. They get these subsidies from tax payers and we pay them over $4 at the pump too? WE NEED REGULATIONS TO SURVIVE!!! Look at it is yourselves, don't just be sheep listening to what these rich, lifetime employed politicians spew from their forked tongues!

  • Regulations would put a STOP on riding

  • Perfect politician, say absolutly nothing except what a bunch of uneducated undecided voters will think sounds appeasing. Hurrr I want to uhh, makes jobs and make gas prices go down, uh durrrrr

  • I'm having trouble finding any reasons for someone to not like what this man has said. He may not be of the same political persuasion but what he said is what many if not most Americans are saying needs to be done.

  • Both sides of the aisle do it, It's called appeasement. After the last mid-terms, they are all in fear of losing their eminence gris.

  • Give me a job an let me b apart of the program I can care less I just wanna reach the top

  • More right wing rhetoric. Translation: SCREW THE LITTLE GUY. Sell the country lock stock and barrel to corporate America. I just wanna know why this shows up on my google homepage?

  • Could you be more specific about WHICH regulations and WHICH tax code changes you're referring to? I get the feeling that using the term "Small Business Owners" is just a way to cover up the desire to legislate on behalf of "Big Buisiness" interests. Also, get with the program dude, oil is dead, gas is not a long-term replacement; our energy policy needs to be oriented towards SERIOUS long-term solutions: clean, renewable sources.

  • 72 people have their heads in the sand.

  • Good response! We need to follow China's lead in building our economy for future growth while providing leadership out of today's degenerative policies.

  • Traitor! Recall him already!

  • "WALL STREET" or the "government" in other words "bankers" you suck whoever YOU are......does\is American "NOT SEA" what's happining....NOOOO they just don't got the nuts to be who they wanna be they would rather sit down and "NAzi"

  • "WALL STREET" or the "government" in other words "bankers" you suck whoever YOU are......does\is American "NOT SEA" what's happining....NOOOO they just don't got the nuts to be who they wanna be they would rather sit down and "NAzi"

  • Another Corporation's toady. We need to vote him out and get People representative in.

  • Get rid of environmental regulation

  • I HOPE YOU WILL HENCEFORTH NOT BE SO QUICK TO ALLOW UNFETTERED- BUSINESS PRACTICES. THAT - WILL SURELY LEAD TO ANOTHER FINANCIAL CALAMITY. ALSO I HOPE YOU WILL FIND TRY AND PUNISH ALL THE CULPRITS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PRACTICES THAT BROUGHT THE ECONOMY OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY DOWN. I HAVE BUT ONE WORD FOR THEM - TRAITORS!

  • 3). The credit crisis of 2007-2008 has shown to us that the instrument of credit enhancement of structured securities WAS NOT THEN, AND EVEN NOW, IS NOT a good financial practice since the risk of enhancing these were not assessed correctly ( DUE TO UNFETTERED OVERSIGHT) and defaults skyrocketed. If the credit rating had been properly assessed and had higher interest rates been assigned to structured securities, then the crisis may have been averted.

  • 2). (THAT WE ARE STILL IN?) Not to mention the Credit enhancement features invented by, MOST PROBABLY, COCKY, IVY LEAGUE idiots RIDING ON THE COATTAILS OF THEIR DADDY that should be found and tried for TREASON. You are probably oblivious to the fact that "Credit enhancement is a key part of the securitization transaction" it should have been a no-brainer that credit rating agencies should have weighed the RISKS CORRECTLY when rating securitizations.

  • 1). You guys are all the same. You frankly bore me to death. Its always the same old same old...BS.............I watched your you tube upload above; OH WOW, how original; so you want to remove MORE "regulation" to make a business friendly environment huh - just like the way people like you removed the regulation from financial institutions that gave them the hubris to invent UNFETTERED securitization, of mortgage-backed securities leading to THE FINANCIAL BREAKDOWN OF 2008 - (continued)

  • So Mr. Master of the Obvious, tell us what you plan to do? You talk and talk and talk, but I don't hear anything.

  • ...

  • im a mutant

  • Huuuuuuuuu

  • Excellence!

  • Basiiii

  • Ngapusiiiiiii

  • "Hey fellow 'mericans, let's defund social programs that help everyone and give tax breaks to the rich that help no one!!! Excellent idea! Elect me!"

  • @1crazycan I can see you have a bigger vocabulary than I thought. While you're busy being casual and taking potshots at people on youtube, this land and its resources are being pillaged and plundered by the senate's owners. Relax for a minute and do a search on "shale oil" "halliburton" and "Gasland". Then ponder what it means to have no clean water to drink.

  • Problem is, this nutbag thinks all regulations make little sense. Honestly, the Obama administration has barely undone eight years of Bush deregulation..and the economy tanked because of that deregulation. Stop this frolicking in ignorance Senator.

  • How about introducing a bill that repeals nafta and gatt? Also maybe cosponsoring a bill to Audit the Federal Reserve!

  • Another corporate functionary pretending to be a senator. Regulations exist to protect the public, the air, the water, the environment, and your children. This man represents business, NOT the people.

  • @jrsinsf Your an idiot!

  • @1crazycan glad to see your education taught you to spell

  • Thanks for responding to any of the letters written to you from fellow kansans...glad that's too much for you

  • Tell government to stay the heck out of anything that has to due with business! We're not a communist nation, we're a capitalist nation!

  • A pro-growth environment is one absent taxes, regulations, and subsidies.

  • I thought this was a joke or spoof video because of the guy's last name lmao.

  • You're a CROOK!!!

  • I am underwhelmed by some of the uniformed opinions on this board. What I see are alot of opinions in the absence of information. Greedy corporations, who do you think creates jobs in this country - businesses do and many are incorporated (corporations). There was a time when Americans strived to be successful rather than complain about what the government hasn't done for them or covet the rewards of someone else's success. Strive to succeed.

  • @ripper42 Amen brother, I remember a time when, if you got a job at IBM AT&T, someplace with a good wage and especially insurance package, you were awesome. All people wanted to know is how did you get in there and can you get me an application. Go ahead stupid, kill the Goose that lays the golden egg. Who do you think will provide for you then? Not me,

  • government at this point is a lost cause. Most of it is just a bunch of corrupt, spineless morons who just do the bidding of the rich. we all need to accept that capitlalism only thrives by making the rich richer at the expense of the poor. Perhaps we need to install socialist policies like the ones in Western Europe. Its not the rich that need the money, its the poor majority.

  • Comment removed

  • Utter nonsense. Incredible these people are allowed to be in charge of our lives.

  • Thumbnail title: "Sen. Moran 'A pro-growth environment, not a sin..."

I would certainly hope not. lol

  • Wait a minute! Don't we hire people like him to do that?

  • Get a brain, Morans!

  • How much is the Kochs and Dick Army paying Moran to spread this nonsense. It's all 1984 doublespeak.

  • Repugniks have deregulated corporations and industry since the late 90's and all that did was help corporations to move off shore manufacturing, pay no taxes, pollute and poison populations. Get some new talking points from US Chamber and Koch brothers, you sold out puppet.

  • Sounds like what everyone else has been saying....but if you actually do it, Moran, that'd be a first....

We can always improve our economy by legalizing marijuana. There's a whole bunch of jobs--not to mention tax revenue. I'm sure crime would ease up too....

  • Peep-Forever 21 rave

  • green industry and mind set is the only way of the future you moronic officials and phsycopathic corporations

  • @johnmcclane125 green industry is the way to communism. Trying to control people's behaviors is the path to controlling everything about people's lives.

  • @jeremywkx Great...let's just keep polluting our planet until we cannot live on it anymore--we're nearly there. Enjoy your "freedom" as you destroy that which literally sustains our lives.

  • @jeremywkx youre the type of idiot in the way of this change, it's the only logical thing to do, to think our society is sustainable as we are and isnt harming the environment in inreversible... it doesnt mean communism, this cud be a private transfer.. open your mind, and get out of the cold war and into the future, communism isn't a bad term anymore, jsut spewing that out means nothing, it's a form of society that has a better moral foundation than us, and it's not evil, it just doesnt work

  • This is very good for the recovery

  • run from the cure/full version , here on you~tube , watch & learne

  • what a moron....oops i mean moran!

  • i think he just said we need better drug policies and medical marijuana

  • boooooooooo

  • 33 morons didn't watch the video, then derped all over the Thumbs Down button.

  • I like what you are saiding but in gov its to many that want to get there own things in and then there a fight about and the people take it in the butt

  • why no one of them promise the destruction of Israel :(

  • Pro-growth? Yes, if government gets rid of the regulations! Look, the reason business closes is because of all the taxes and regulations and unions that dominate people.

  • Building Homes is one of the great industries to support because the appliances and materials makes for a great trickle down, over and across industry.

  • blog.world-mysteries/science/the-marijuana-conspiracy/ REGULATIONS THAT MAKE LITTLE SENCE

  • Sen. Moran, Your Tax code is fair for the rich. How about the poor working stiffs. You are a great spokesman for the 1% of americans that are rich enough to be republicons ...

  • @ rockingfarmboy "Go to China." Wow, deep. Capitalism = the rich getting richer? Last I checked, capitalism had something to do with free markets, where there is an equal opportunity for people to make a living. People accumulating wealth through nepotism or something similar is more akin to China. Since that sounds like your style, you move there. I'm staying here to exercise my freedom of speech, which apparently you have a problem with. Sounds like you belong in China. Again.

  • A problem seen here, as is the case of about all political talk, is that a list of bullet points are brought up, without any specifics. Like, WHICH regulations need to be cut? Exactly WHAT taxes should be cut? Or, on the left, saying "the government needs to do more" gets brought up. It isn't actual solutions, but campaigning on ideology, barked out by a parrot.

  • IMPORTANT

Friends, we have all sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. 10 out of 10 ppl. die. there is only two places we go after our life is over. its Heaven or hell. If we have lied, stollen, looked at women with lust, we will not inherit the kingdom of God, unless, we repent of our sins, meaning turn away and do it no more, Jesus died for you and me. He loves you, but the choice is urs. Heaven or Hell? for more info. contact me: mission2rescue@live.com! time is short SeekGod

  • all of you blaming one party, saying republicans only want money, and that democrats and socialists are stupid, we need to work together to find solutions, and sleestackgod clearly you don't know more, because sen. moran is making a difference while you are sitting at home insulting someone from behind a computer, respect the man who is fighting for what he believes in

  • Its the same dame thing. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

  • I'm not your buddy bodyboner. I know a little bit about economics. Obviously more than the Senator. But what the hell, go ahead, deregulate till your blue in the face, get rid of every entitlement, get rid of the federal reserve. Do it all. In the end it won't do any good. Free market global capitalism is inherently flawed...and I predict the whole rotten edifice is going to collapse within our lifetime. I hope I'm wrong...but I don't think so.

  • @sleestackgod there is a flaw in any form of market that allows those who have the power to keep it forever, all we can do is stay the course and fight through, and please show some respect to the man

  • The big companies are making profits. That sounds like growth to me. Rich folk are getting rich. The average worker? They're lucky to have a job. And if they do, go see how much inflation has lowered their salaries over the decades. If you want a growth environment, start getting those big, rich companies to worry about their employees and not the stockholders or execs in those companies. There is plenty of growth if you if you got the connections.

  • @tharulla thats capitalism buddy, its what made our country great, don't like it? do what sen. moran is doing and make a difference instead of complaining, or move to china

  • @bodybuilder444444:

Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act: allowing commercial banks, investment banks, and insurers to merge (which would have violated antitrust laws under Glass-Steagall).

Commodity Futures Modernization Act - essence of the act was the deregulation of derivatives trading lobbied for by Enron, a major campaign contributor to Gramm -- that exempted energy trading from regulatory oversight.

Getting rid of Glass-Steagall was huge. Want to name one of those recent, onerous regulations bills?

  • WELL SAID! Now just stick to what you say...

  • they say the definition of insanity is repeating the same action over and over again and expecting a different result.

  • Republicans don't care about you. They care about money and how to get it. No matter how dumb they make your kids by cutting education. No matter how hard it is to breath the air or drink the water by getting rid of the EPA. All that matters to republicans is who has the money and how they get it in their pocket and how to get more of it.

  • You, sir, need to kill the rhetoric that's making me yawn. It's way too early for me to be falling asleep.

  • We've been deregulating industry and cutting taxes for the wealthy for thirty years you dope. What has it gotten the little guy? Jack shit. What a bold idea senator moran-we'll do more of the same.

  • @sleestackgod learn your current events buddy. We've been building up the regulation every year. And now we are on a juiced up regulation streak.

  • @brad462 Yes, you're the one who has never used government provided services: Got you mail today?

  • Wow, what a moron ... let's do the same over and over again and hope for a different result ... what part of the economic downturn did he miss? By the way, the anti-regulation people should never hold office, because ultimately they are against government. How oxymoron of him, eh?

  • @buchrain13 Are you high? What has the government done well?

  • We need to stop NAFTA and we need to make companies who outsource jobs to be held in a higher tax braket & fined if they do not comply. They would rather pay some shmuck in lord knows whereville 2 bucks a day vs paying a decent wage in america. THATS THE CRUST OF IT. STOP trying to make it as though its the governments regulation fault. Stop BIG COMPANY SUBSIDES, STOP FARMING SUBSIDES, STOP TRYING TO MAKE THE TOP 1% pay less TAXES. THAT would help our nation everything else ya said is bullony.

  • They need consumers of their products and services.

  • that group that i lived with follows me expecily the in house staff who i didnt get alone with dont let the devil fool you all there are crazy people who use god to do what they want its shady let me come back on my own why are you stalking meif you where good i would not have been so apoising to the damn shilock preacher.

  • The only reason wal-mart has low prices is because they use cheap labor and pay ppl overseas less than here, it's not fair to them because they r paid little and its not fair to us to hav to see our jobs leave the country to see them be wasted on cheap labor. Don't shop at walmart

  • NOW I HAVE TO EATING MEATS I KNOW I KNOWWWWW.

  • ONE THING IF NOT EVERY THING I CAN THANK OPRAH FOR IS THAT I WELL WE HAVE THE DOCTOR SHOWS ON TV MY ASS PROBLEMS ARE NOT AS BAD AS I THOUGHT I EAT TO MUCH GORGE IF YOU WILL I KNOW I KNOW I LOVE MOTHER OPRAH THANK YOU DOCTORS I LOVE YOU ALL.

  • it's all these rich- ass ceos who send jobs over seas or dont pay u.s. workers anything. its also these financiers who will pick your bones but not kill you directly with high interest rates. also we have laws on practically everything. if you're not at home, or somehow fearfully avoiding trouble, you'll be involved in litigation. its like people are just busy trying to dominate each other rather than create a place where we can all look each other in the eyes.

  • Oops, looks like you misspelled your last name.

  • clean up government then worry about policies. That way something might actually get done.

  • How about you shut down the federal reserve and take back the production of our currency from them, then work on keeping anyone with any affiliation to or with the Bilderberg group from holding any kind of public/political office. Finally show the American people the law that says they are to pay a federal income tax. Then maybe people might not automatically assume all politicians are full of shit and not to be trusted. Say no to the "North American Union" and the "Amero"

  • heh heh, Senator Moron

  • Loose and lax regulations got us into this financial mess. How about reasonable regulations to keep business in check without trampling on their ability to function.

  • Your just plain wrong. That is the liberal mantra for "more government"

The main component of the collapse was the housing bubble, I think we can all agree?

This was caused by two giant federally run entities Fannie and Freddie which federally mandated loans to people who they knew could not pay them back. (see affordable housing act) These loans were consolidated into paper bundles and sold to the private sector... This is where business begins to get demonized... THIS WAS THE GOV's FAULT

  • @a5sarola The government certainly played it's roll in the problems we are currently facing. Corprations are also part of the problem. Their business practices aided in the woes we face now. Less regulations promote more problems through greed.

  • Sensible enough

  • When will a public come out with specific details? All these generalizations just leave the door open to get nothing done, as usual.

  • So did the stimulus package not help promote a pro-growth environment?

  • @lischell

It did not, per a study that came out today the stimulus destroyed 580,000 jobs. Pumping money into a system will push indicators one way or another. But at the end of the day people still know that its false progress and they don't invest. This is why every republican was screaming their heads off, and liberals jumped off the bridge smiling all the way down.

If spending were the answer, we'd have a perfect economy and full employment
