I was at disney world last week and tried the turkey legs for the first time hoping I was gonna love it but I thought it was kind of nasty. I was very disappointed :/ didn't live up to the hype.
I'm from Florida, and my parents and siblings and cousins from NY use to go to Disney EVERY SUMMER! I haven't gone in a long time though...I remember when my mom use to gnaw on those turkey legs 24/7! THEIR DELICIOUS! I've never ate at a desert resteraunt in Disney before, but I have been to their candy store in Magic Kingdom. And I have ate the mickey ice creams. Those are DELICIOUS AS WELL! Disney is REALLY A MAGICAL PLACE! The rides, shows, parades, etc. I wanna go again this summer. :-)
Don't think I could eat a salty turkey leg in florida, think I would mummify. Have to drink 4 gallons a day when I go, even without salt-injected food lol!
when I went i was like 2 and 3 and I didn't ride much, but now im older and I want to go back so I can eat more food than anyone should, and ride the rides
Flame tree is the best. =) Especially when you sit outside across frim Expedition Everest. You can see the train come down and hear peoples delighted screams. Nothing like bbq, fresh air, and happy screams =)
they are about $8.00 each. Just bought one about 3 weeks ago but I wish I had recipie! But very salty BUT DAMN GOOD! Been eating them since 1982. One will feed 2 peeps.....or more. But you need alot of water/soft drinks for them! Beer woul be great but you can only get that in EPCOT or HS
ive been to disney world like 25 times and hve NEVER had a turkey leg :((( i NEEEEEEEEED one!!!! thank god im goin for christmas :D i will get it then FOR SURE!!!
gah whenever i smell the smoky scent of turkey legs i MUST have it however i never got one >< the smell itself gives me a hint on how it tastes and it only makes me want em more
@fireup11 they take a bite then spit it out cause if they eat it over and over when redoing the scenes the cut effect if they eat a turkey leg bite 100s of times theyll get sick at the end of the scene they will spit it out
@fireup11 Maybe he is pretty fit besides when he is filming. I hear that's what the Man vs. Food guy does anyway... he's naturally kind of husky though.
I remember one time back on my 13th birthday, me and my friend went to get two turkey legs. We sat down on a bench and ate. Suddenly, every 3 to 5 minutes, someone was asking us, "Where did you get those giant chicken legs?"
At first, I almost coughed up my turkey leg because these were too big to be chicken legs, so why would someone ask that?
Also, at my local Ralphs, they sell turkey legs at the EXACT shape, form, and tase.
lmfaoo i remember 2 years ago we came here we saw a bunch of ppl munching on the bigass turkey legs and it made us laugh soo hard.."look at the size of that thing! its sooo hugee!" hahaha...they were selling it near the haunted mansion..and boy it was quite expensive..next time i go if i buy it i'll make sure i share it with my brother!
i'll tell ya, i met marc when i was in vegas, (he was guest hosting the stage show that they have at bally's that's baed on "the price is right" and i actually thanked him, because if it hadn't been for this special, i never would've been able to have a turkey leg, (not kidding either, my mom didn't like the idea of a turkey leg in 90+ degree weather.)
If marc makes another Disney unwrapped (I think they don't make anymore any way) Imma write a strongly worded letter to him. This drives me INSANE. I just wanna GET TO DISNEY WORLD!!!! Seriously!!!!
Even though it costs a LOT of money, it's not overpriced because it's worth it, as long as you know how to plan you're trip. It WOULD be overpriced if you paid for the whole day but you only went on like 3 rides and didn't have any food.
@munchwigo i agree, like the reason why its so expensive is well, youre paying for quality and the experience and stuff cuz the technology in the rides and the machines to make the food isnt cheap so i agree that it would be overpriced if you only go on 3 rides no food and then leave after a couple hours x.x
I've never even had a turkey leg there before! I'll need to try one, there's always such a huge line. And oh my gosh, Flame Tree Barbeque is amazing. I can't beleive they give you so much food- especially on the meal plan. Don't go on Everest after it lol.
@gymnastgirlflips i totally agree with you! i never had a turkey leg in all my years of going to disney x.x i went there last april, planned to get a turkey leg but forgot to get one cuz i was so distracted by the rides, the atmosphere, and the fun :D
Next time I'll have to get one. We eat at Pecos Bill's right next to the stand usually, but I need to try one. I hope I don't get distracted this time, or get intimidated by the line.

Your post about a "fair" is not relevant because a fair makes you pay for every ride you go on, and they're generally very bad rides. At Disney World, if you go at the right time, you can get on rides numerous times in a row and it's well worth your money.
They also have a dining plan now so I don't agree that it's overpriced at all.

I have never been to WDW, but i live 45 min. near Disneyland so i got there about twice a year
Everything about disney makes you feel invincible and magical
I remember when I was little i had a mickey balloon and eating a micky lolipop when we were about to leave disneyland and the staff was helping us with our luggage and I said
"I dont want to leave!"
and then the staff is like "you can stay here with us if you want"

Unwrapped and disney world amazing lol
I have never been to WDW, but i live 45 min. near Disneyland so i got there about twice a year
Everything about disney makes you feel invincible and magical
I remember when I was little i had a mickey balloon and eating a micky lolipop when we were about to leave disneyland and the staff was helping us with our luggage and I said
"I dont want to leave!"
and then the staff is like "you can stay here with us if you want"
haha im never gonna forget that magic

You haven't lived until you have had one of these beauties. I had 4 in one day once.
