  • OH. MA. GOD.

  • where are these pictures from?

  • @simoncosa what headphones whould u recommend ?? thanx :)

  • i'd have to say that the quality of speakers can let you know if it is music or not. if you listen to "music" on laptop speakers and it does not sound good, then it is most likely not music.

  • All this talk of music quality is a good thing to have in a digital age where it's all 128kbps mp3 and worse. I was only listening to this album last week, on vinyl, through a pre & power amp setup on sonos floorstanders. It makes a difference.

  • Fucking intense

  • @simoncosa he says while listening to a song in <480p

  • Why have i only just discovered you?! Beautiful

  • Oh. My. God.

  • I'm speechless

  • @Flangerdaddy People are listening to songs on youtube that they already own? That's odd

  • WOooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! Listening this on Sinheisers... damn! My whole body frequency get's disturbed (in a good sence). Chiiillsss..

  • I wish it would never end.

  • This gives me chills. Fantastic!

  • LINGUAFRANCASTUDIO

  • If you're a fan of artists like Aidan Baker/Nadja, thisquietarmy, rapoon, Ben Frost, Fennesz, etc. check out my channel for exciting new music!

  • If you like this tune, try to search for:

    The Inituition - Facing Yourself

  • @simoncosa sorry dude but production is not relevant for art almost at all

  • @theseterms

Read the comment redun made a couple of comments before you. He is entirely right. Saying production is not relevant, when talking about electronic music, is like saying that you could make the same kinda art with a gimmick guitar the same way you could with a precise quality instrument.

There is a difference between noise, and structured noisy sounds. A quality input (production) and output (soundsystem/headphones) is the only way to hear the art the way it is made to be heard.

  • @ChaoticMethod23 i was talking about creativity you elitist :p check this out watch?v=uy3bs7zGez8&feature=related

  • @theseterms lol wut? Nice trolling.

  • @Jowellzzz Hecker is a God, Machinefabriek is kind of average. If you want something more similar to this guy I would suggest Lawrence English (particularly Organs Lost at Sea).

  • When I listen to Ben Frost I feel like monsters are trying to claw their way out of my speakers. I'm doing my best to help them.

  • @simoncosa I've always told people, when showing them a track of mine or some other artist, that it's essential for electronic music to be played on a full range, balanced system; psyco-acoustically, most everyone's brain knows what to do with a guitar, drum, organ sound, etc, no matter how shitty the speakers. But a lot of producers in experimental and even mainstream styles are essentially auditioning sounds that your brain has not processed before, so it's important to get it right :)

  • Click on song

  • This is off its face, Brian Enos apprentice and from Melbourne

  • The piano melody in this song is in the same key as the Wallace & Gromit theme tune... just a useless piece of information for ya :P

  • Maximum of 480p for safety reasons

  • woaar, derbe..danke

  • Ben Frost, Tim Hecker and Stars of the Lid, now that is one hell of a drone fueled musical orgy! all I need now is some Eluvium and Loscil ta bring me down!.

  • @simoncosa Laptop speakers are the worst. It also makes me sad how bad a lot of the popular headphones are. Skullcandy charges a fuckton for their products when none of them are worth more than $10 in sound quality.

  • Also: it's funny how people are being elitists about audio quality here, on youtube where the audio bitrate for this resolution is 128kbps. Nice going.

  • @BacuChan I listen to my .flac version of the song and comment on its corresponding YouTube page. Sup?

  • @BacuChan hahahahha nice!!!!

  • Very S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

  • I love how this man manages to capture Tim Hecker's subtle melancholic tendencies and Merzbow's blaring crushing audio overtones all at once. Incredible.

  • I fucking hate this album. It's so good that compared to other music it's deific - I can never listen to anything else and actually enjoy it after this.

  • @simoncosa You're posting about the advantages of good headphones on a youtube video for a song... Oh, the irony.

  • @redrum12 : That's what he's saying, Youtube sound is awful.

  • Where can I find more photos like the one in the video? By the throat has one of my favourite cover arts.

  • Fantastic!

  • This is so eerie and disconcerting. It makes my heart race a little, and I can't have it on as background music, it demands attention. Love it.

  • @hyprv implex grace is awesome, he posts some stuff on em411 sometimes

  • @simoncosa Exactly reason I spent a good $200 on headphones to enjoy music like this. If I had enough I'd be buying $1000 ones!

  • Absoloutely AMAZING! I am blown away.

  • muy hijueputa esa cancion

    awesome

  • @simoncosa reccomendez any speakers?

  • @hairyhoff if your budget is low (sub 500$+) you are far better off investing in good headphones and/or a DAC

Alessandro MS1 or 2 and whatever DAC you can afford will sound amazing (but do your own research and homework for your own needs!)

  • @RaskolnikovRomanovic id simply lose headphone idea... 500$ means a decnt couple of barebone speakers which can then be improved by skill and effort into a set of briliant sound tech

im working on a set of 6 barebones making the ideal silence... it takes a lot of tries to make the speakers sound good, but it takes briliance i dont have to make them perfect

  • Just not the same as when I listen in flac. :P

  • @catfood03 I have them as desktops ^_^

  • Anyone know the photographer of these photos? The photos are crazy. Love 'em.

  • Nevermind. Found out it's this guy Bjarni Grims.

  • vageuly reminescent of Alan Parsons.only moe of an industrial edge to it. Fantastic works!

  • I love Ben Frost! He is a genius. I don't know of ANYONE comparable. Any recommendations of similar artists I may like???

  • THIS SONG IS SO GOOD!

  • He has a group called School of Emotional Engineering. Not as "noisy", but still good.

  • Fennesz could be a similar one... not so scary as this guy--- really love it

  • Try Swans

  • Legion of Two, Boxcutter, Ital Tek,

  • You might also try Cindytalk.

His work is atmospheric and at times creepy. I highly recommend his album "Wappinschaw".

  • @THESUPERCULT Try some Tim Hecker or Machinefabriek. Big fans of both of them right now and they are very similar to Mr. Frost.

  • @Jowellzzz fennesz if for you

  • @Thelightingeffects Yes! The Sparklehorse collab album is otherworldly.

  • i've just uploaded the same song without knowing you already did it!

    brilliant song btw
