In my opinion- no, he is not. He recently gave a significant donation to the 'love music hate racism' concert, without it the event could not have gone ahead. I guess that's not a lurid enough story for the nme to splatter across their front page.

Moz said back in '84 after the Brighton bomb - "The sorrow is Thatcher remains unscathed" Cameron has tried to say how much he loved The Smiths but Morrissey is resolutely anti most mainstream political parties( though The Smiths did a gig to help Liverpool Councillors over the Poll Tax.) Moz does seem very interested in Englishness though.

This awesome song is found on the 2001 compilation "The Best Of Morrissey". If you don't have it, get it!! I've owned it twice over the years and twice it has ended up in someone else's hands never to be returned, but that's another story. It's the last track on the album and what a great way to end the album!
