Beautiful job portraying a disease that is agonizing for both patient and caregiver. Your mother did a wonderful job raising a son who doesn't turn away from the pain. Obviously, not everyone can do the job you're doing.
You did a great job with this film, thank you. I care for my husband's mother, retired school teacher, graduated from rutgers university. we are the only caregivers, money so tight, help so inadequate. people say put her in a nursing home no one says how can we help you care for your mother at home? She struggles to swallow, to walk, to hang on each day, each day different, sometimes hour to hour. I see how you show your mom how to walk, we do this too. This is a mirror of our life.
I just lost my father to LBD. Watching this video moved me so deeply that I want to know how to get in touch with you. Your words broke my heart wide open. Who are you?
Thanks for sharing. We lost my father to LBD 4 years ago. Caring for him during OUR 3-year long battle was an honor, but the most difficult and trying experiences ever. In memory of him and with a passion for assisting other families and loved ones who are afflicted, we now hold an annual fund raiser to benefit LBDA. Hopefully one day there will be a cure for this and many other brain diseases. Again, thanks for sharing your story.
This video defines the nature of Lewy Body Dementia. I have an Aunt who is just like your Mother here in this film. I feel your pain and pray for you and your Mothers strength. God Bless you both!
Thank you for sharing from the depths of your heart and soul your love of your mother. The one who did the same for you and somewhere in her clouded mind she still does care and love you. You reminded me that through it all we are Gods children and he loves us just as you love her. He tried so hard to teach us exactly what you are doing, Learn, share, teach, love and care for each other. He will reward your efforts, topgether we shall overcome this disease. Know that you are loved.
As a past caregiver of my spouse who was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, I sympathize with this young man. It is very hard to watch your love one go through such a disease. I pray for a cure of this dreadful disease.
My heart goes out to all the caretakers and those with the disease. I am a caretaker to a father with LBD and this video brought tears to my eyes. We need more awareness of this horrible disease. Thank you so much for bringing this to the world. Keep up the fight and keep up the love.
OMG! This is powerful and when you have lost a loved one to Lewy Body Dementia you can so identify with this plea for recognition of the many problems and with the plea for more research! Thank you for entering this in this film festival. I pray this 7 minute film is watched by those who can and are willing to help! God bless you!
