Alliance own the Horde in respects to level 70's. The Horde literally walk into BG's at level 70 bending over waiting to be rodgered by the nearest Alliance (on Wildhammer). Alliance are rather poor in the BG's 20 to 60.

I guess the Horde have more 'better geared' characters under 70 ;)
