  • Hiyaaaa! Have you ever tried - fast abs magic (should be on google have a look)? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my auntie got amazing Six pack abs and lost a lot of belly fat with it.

  • I don't know if you have tried this but recently I bought Wii Fit and the board and it's an easy way to add some exercise into your life. (I bought mine used on Craigslist for $50 instead of the normal $100 something new.) There are lots of things to choose from to do like strength training, yoga,balance stuff,cardio. This stuff is easy, I HATE exercising more than anything but I knew it was something I had to do and would really help me lose some(maybe not a lot)weight.Keep up your good work.<3

  • I hate people who are like "You can't lose weight, you're too skinny already!" I'm a ballet dancer and just started pointe recently and my teacher told me I had to lose about 10 pounds so I didn't hurt my feet etc and whenever I tell someone about that, they just call me anorexic. It's horrible. And you look beautiful now :)

  • I like how you say all people (even if they appear they are "skinny" or normal) have the right to lose weight. People always say I don't need to lose weight but it is about how we feel about ourselves.. Thanks for that! I wish I could just change to wheat and drop the pounds.. but I already only eat wheat so that won't work :P

  • You sound exactly like me! I have curves but i'm not "tiny" like you say you are. I don't have a small waist and I'm not fat, but I feel I am unhealthy. This gave me such inspiration because I'm so freakin' lazy and i loveee carbs. They are my weakness. I tried cutting them out completely and it didn't work so I think i'll try this little trick. Thank you so much for sharing your story!

  • Wow in a year you, just wow! I'm pretty tall for my age, 13, 5 ft 5 and 57 kgs. I am not comfortable with my weight even though I'm not even that fat but seriously I now know how unhealthy I was always. Eating a whole bag of chips makes me sick to think about. D you think if I eat a blanaced diet and exercised I would do as well as you did in half a year? I just need to lose maybe 5 or 8 kgs. I see all the girls wearing pretty outfits and I can't show off anything. You're a real inspiration!

    probably because.... my parents and everyone around me

    didn't like brown rice or wholewheat thing

    so I gave up, eat what they eat, BOOMMMM 10kg gained.

  • Oh my god I just switched out the white carbs in my diet also and definitely agree it makes a really positive difference. Just swapping white bread to wholemeal for my lunch sandwhiches has meant I feel so much better, not at all bloated like I did before. Excellent tip! Love your videos Brooke :) x

  • What did you do in terms of fast food? I eat out a lot and just want to know if you don't eat it, cut down on it, or cut it out. Thank you. I really hate exercising. I'd rather eat less than have to move if I don't have to. Thanks for being honest.

  • I did the same thing bout the wheat/ whole grain situation @ stopped drinking soda and lost 20 pounds 15 + 5 its totally true anybody can do it...I just did it for a healthier life style, you have to at some point in ones life. You are what you eat! Oh big tip- I hate eating breakfast so I drink a protien shake (chocolate is the best one:-)

  • Losing weight is 80% diet.. 20% exercise. I've lost 51 pounds total.. MOST of it was just a change in diet. High Fiber, protein, fruits and veggies. Anyone can loose weight if they stop eating crap. =)

  • your take home message really hit home with me - i'm 5'7 ~110 pounds. im pretty thin i guess, but any weight i gain is in my stomach. i dont really work out so i'm thin but not fit...and it shows (in my opinion). all of my friends get mad when i say i want to start getting fit and i even knew a girl that would call me anorexic TO MY FACE on a regular basis just because i was smaller than her...so that combined with my unhappy image of myself was bad. this was an awesome video, though, so thanks!

  • I agree, Brooke, why do people think it's ok to tell others that they should gain weight. (also, why is it ok to tell a girl to smile?) I like your tip of walking--whenever I go to a store, I try to park further or take the stairs instead of the elevator/escalator. Also, I only eat when I'm hungry, too, and I STOP when I'm not hungry anymore. It's a little inconvenient when with others cuz I get hungry more often than they do! Oh well, that's what apples in your purse are for! LOL

  • Also, THANK YOU for your comments at the end about "sizeism". My entire life people, even strangers, have felt they have the right to tell me I need to gain weight or accuse me of having an eating disorder (back when I was a teen and still growing), or judge/belittle/shame me if I express any desire to lose weight or say I was successful in losing weight now that I'm an adult trying to be healthy. GRRR!

    I agree. People feel the need to tell me every day of my life that I don't weigh enough or that I'm too thin for how tall I am. Even if I weren't happy with the way I look being as slight as I am, doctors have never had a problem with my weight and I honestly don't think my metabolism would allow me to gain weight anyway (lol).

I'm just like you -- short, petite but curvy, not "big" but the biggest I'VE been, hate exercising, and with the palate of a 5 year old! I also got a wake-up call from some photos where I barely recognized my own face. It's great to hear what works from someone with such a similar history.

  • I am lazy too, I totally understand you on that. I started counting calories from nov 20 2009 to nov 20 2010and I lost 63 pds. This was eating only, not excersizing. Congrats on your loss 2010 was a great year!

But now I cannot live without my daily workout with bodyrock.tv :D And I really hate people who say: Why are you on a diet, you are so skinny! YES!!! I AM - BECAUSE I STICK TO MY DIET :D :D Otherwidse I would be a ball of fat :D

  • yep, carbs and processed foods make us fat. If you eat more protein you will lose weight. Whole grains actually clean out your digestive track which helps with digestion and you get less build up in your intestines. I learned this by doing the Belly Fat Cure, great diet btw.

  • 2O years from now you will realize how wrong you are. When? When they tell you you have a gallstone in your gallbladder. Believe me...stop doing that to your body. Eat healthy and exercise! BTW: I'm a Med student.

  • @L8NightER15 if you go to in-n-out you can order what is called a protein burger. its basically just a burger wrapped in lettuce, and its surprisingly delicious.

  • I'm 18, 5'1/2" and wear a D cup bra but size 2/3 depending on the jeans..idkk I'm Brazilian and my body type and size is completelyyy different from other but I understand exactly where you are coming from! I've done the same exact thing and IT WORKS!!! :DD

    And btw, I'm just like you on the eating habits..thought I was the ONLY one! Mickey Mouse chicken nuggets and spaghetti with tomato sauce pretty much everyday! haha :D

  • I really love this video. You don't need to eat only carrots and run 3 miles to lose weight. It's all about little lifestyle changes. Being healthy is about feeling good, not a jean size.

  • I am jealous of you for having such curves, and I think you're absolutely right. If you want to lose weight I think you should. I actually want to gain weight and people are always saying why do you want to gain weight and SURPRISE they say I'd kill to have your body.   • I completly understand what you when through! I'm 4'11" and I've gained 5 pounds (which is not much) but my problem is that I can't even gain a few pounds without getting stretch marks... they eventually fade but it's been my struggle since I was 14 and I'm 22 now. The way I keep the weight off is by eating 4-5 times a day (you eat less because you eat more portions). I'm not skinny skinny but I am thin, so I get where you're comming from. You are my Idol.

  • It's truly amazing how much weight can you lose with little changes. I've lost up to 70 pounds in my lifetime but unfortunately I have gained about 50 back :/. This video gives me up that I can lose weight again by little changes. PS: You look amazing!

  • i was so happy when you said "i'm not a dietitian" because so many people think a nutritionist has credentials but they don't and a dietitian does! (i have a bachelor's in nutrition, so it matters to me haha) i'm glad you found something that worked for you, good job, you look great!

  • Congrats, Brooke, I'm really happy for You! I can relate to where you're coming from - I wanna lose like 3 Kg-s (~6 pounds?), that I've been gaining over the years since uni. Not a lot, but I think it's just having an office job and less exercise. I don't feel really abd about myself, i'm pretty healthy regarding my eating habits, but i'd feel more content as my "old" self. :) So yes, i think it's important to do what's good and healthy to you and your measurements. :) Good point!

  • Great video. I am 5.0" so I know what you mean about being short & not feeling comfortable with your weight. I tend to gain in the butt & thighs cause of being short. What you did to lose weight is perfect some walking, changing your carbs & not eating when you are not hungery is AWESOME.. ;) Loved this video... Gained from being pregnant & now need to lose 10 pounds. All I am going to do is not eat after 8:00pm, add more fiber, drink more water & walk at least 20 to 30 mins. 5 time a week ;)

  • Good for you, Brooke. I know you don't want to hear the "wtf you didn't need to WHY" sort of thing, and rightly so, it's all about how you feel about yourself. You obviously feel a lot more confident and you look amazing, so good for you!

  • In October I was the lowest weight I'd been since like middle school, then I gained 10 pounds over the holidays :( My birthday's Feb. 16th so I'm trying really hard to get back in shape before then. I read in an interview w/ Kelly Osbourne (Have you seen her lately, she looks great) where she said she'll eat like half an apple or something small before bed to keep her metabolism going overnight. Obviously not a cheeseburger or anything like that tho lol Thanks for the tips <3

  • my sister lost 22 lbs in 1 months and sth days, she started dancing and weighted everything that she ate...I think it was too ultimate but wat I did was walk and run on treadmill, trying to stay on it for 1 hour. I think this kind of thing takes time and patient but it works ^_^

  • This "diet" looks like it made you look better everywhere - Your skin and makeup look perfect and eyes seem shinier and teeth whiter. What foundation are you using, and are you still using the Crest Whitestrips??

  • @ImNKSToto This is the nicest comment ever thank you so much! No I haven't used whitestrips in almost 2 years. Foundation I'm using now is Temptu airbrush, it helps a bit :) Also this was my first video with my new MUCH better quality camera so it might be effecting how I look

  • okay i understand what you are saying but my friend is really short like me...under 5 feet and shes super skinny but thinks she fat...shes on a diet...and her diet is to eat one salad a day he drink 2 of those slim drink things...ummm yeahh she doesnt need to be on a diet and the diet she is on will prolly make her sick sooo i think its okay for me to say she should be on it :)

  • It's crazy how much of a difference height makes in how your body appears. I'm like 6'0 so 13 pounds seems like nothing, but it makes a huge difference for someone shorter. It's great that you're looking/ feeling better!!

  • @amyisnotonfire Brooke explained that she wasn't happy with the way she looked....why is that bad? She said what she needed to change to drop some weight, and didn't make excuses. Don't discount her feelings because she only had a little weight to lose!

  • I appreciate the fact that you want to be healthier and lose weight, but it's extremely difficult for me to watch this video. I weigh 230 pounds when I SHOULD weigh 170 according to my height, and with the combination of hormone pills that I'm on, plus my genetics, the weight will never come off like I'd want it to.It's hard to watch you talking about how "awful" you looked when you looked simply gorgeous! There's a big difference between wanting to lose 15 pounds and needing to lose 60.
