  • david levy...how can I also become a comet hunter? make me your apprentice plz :]

  • cn u guys send me a message to explain more i get it but i just dont get it

  • @timtebow1584 fail

  • The narrator is cool, does anybody know who he is? Xx

  • I hope they send a probe spacecraft to Uranus and Neptune during my lifetime....

  • This sounds like the G-Man ^^

  • jupiter makes want to drink cofee

  • Great, I've always wondered how it's like on gas giants.

  • i love the narrator, he tells all of those stories so awesome

  • I would love to show this vide to my sixth grade science, However there is know way for me to pull up youtube at school. Any suggestions??

  • @CatlynClarke yes you can ask your science teacher in school to show it to your class, using school computers and projetors either in the class or in the lab, good luck with it !

  • @KurdstanPlanetarium cant wait to space travel

  • @CatlynClarke Just use a flashdrive and download it onto the drive.

  • @CatlynClarke use mediaplayer to rip the video

  • pretty interesting. thanks! I hear that something seems to be shepherding the outer Oort Cloud. I picked that up in a documentary somewhere but I never looked into it.

it just keeps going and going out there.

  • Gass it up!!!

  • I love that they are not afraid to admit that they don't know everything, evolutionist can learn a thing or two from these guys

  • do we know for sure that the gas/ice giants were formed in the solar system?

Could they be interlopers? I often wonder

  • utuniaphobic

nothing is so sure if you want the truth, most of our knowledge regarding the Solar System and the Uninverse itself are in the realm of specualtions, Astronomers put theories forward to explain many things based on the availabel datas at the time, many such theories must be revised when better data will be available..

  • @KurdstanPlanetarium

yeah, weeding out the assumptions of days gone by is sometimes difficult

I have a few thoughts that might dismiss my idea, but i also have a few that would support it...it's 50/50..

  • @uturniaphobic The gas and ice giants all rotate in the same direction, orbit in the same direction, and within a few degrees of orbiting in the same plane as the smaller, inner planets, along with most asteroids and Kuiper Belt objects, and so do most of their moons. This is strong evidence that the whole solar system - including the giant planets - formed at the same time in the same way.

  • @ProcyonVulpecula yeah it's raked-out pretty good. that's what I got to thinking too.

it would be quite unlikely an outcome with interlopers coming from any given direction. I did learn that Neptune and Uranus might have migrated out from a closer orbit at some time long ago. thanks!

  • @uturniaphobic Yeah, Uranus and Neptune seem to be impossible to form in their present orbits. The idea is that the gas giants tugged on each other gravitationally early in the history of the Solar System, then altered each others' orbits for a few hundred million years until they finally settled down into the stable orbits they're in today. This would explain not only why Uranus and Neptune exist (they formed closer in,) but (continued)

  • @ProcyonVulpecula but also why there seems to have been a huge bombardment of asteroids and comets on the inner planets around 3.8 billion years ago (flung there by the migrating gas giants) and why the Oort Cloud exists (chunks of ice again flung out by the migrating gas giants.)

  • !@#$%^^

  • fantastic planets!
