7 out of 10 star zombie movie. One star deductd because the sound effects you used for your guns indacate automatic when everyone knows you use single shots to kill zombies. Another star because Your guns lookd sort of cheesey . The last star deductd because when they got infectd, they waitd till they turnd to slay them. I also got to say i didn't like the ending but thats souly my own opinion as a movie lover, not as a zombie movie critic

Now that I've seen it all... initial impressions haven't changed much. The introduction was a lot more effective than the latter portions though, which were rather linear, plot devoid and kill-happy. The cameraman and his friends are absolutely static. They really don't react at all when a zombie charges, or someone shoots an infected person... interaction is pretty non-existent.

Special effects weren't too bad, again, sounds could be better. Guns and loadouts need work, too.

Many parts reminded me of Diary of the Dead as well. You should check it out. Excellent job! It's great without the cheesy Indy Mogul effects people love to throw in. I like this a lot.

Nice movie.

Although, SWAT officers are supposed to have trigger discipline.

It's not really something the average person can spot, but it definitely adds to the movie if you're knowledgeable about firearms and their usage.

How'd you get the effects done and what kind of props. Sound effects themselves sound awesome. I'm writing my own zombie flick and have a bunch of awesome airsoft guys lined up for the characters. I'm just worried that I can't present the action on screen in a way that looks realistic.

in terms of muzzle flashes for the more professional films we are working on now we use aftereffects and keyed muzzle shots, explosions, etc that we motion track and bloom. however for this zombie movie we did it on the cheap with limited resources and basically took one frame out and edited it in photoshop and put it back in with sound. look up photoshop muzzle flash tutorials on youtube to see how to do this. as for the props we ordered airsoft guns and spray painted the tips

put in call of duty and half life and opened a multiplayer game split screen on a quite map. ran the audio cables to the input on a camera or analog/digital converter and recorded various shots.shells.reloads

of course if you have sountrack pro media files theres tons of gun effects and if you search google long enough you can come across some decent sounds

Cool, I think I know where I can find those sounds too. Found an awesome modding website where users have uploaded some cool sound effects. I'm really crossing my fingers in the hopes that I come across some really beefy and powerful sounds on the caliber of the effects heard in the movie "Heat".

What actually happened was that the camera man throughout the whole movie (Tran) was attacked by the zombies at the very end, which is why the camera fell to the ground. I (Johnny) picked up the camera & ran with it. It was just done so fast that you couldn't tell it was me who picked it up.

brilliantly done my only comment would be that there should have been more reaction from the girl's friends when the shot her instead of whatever we have to survive. Also, i feel it was inappropriate for the operatives to complain about mosquitoes after shooting their comrade. Otherwise it was very well done and you broke cliches quite nicely!

I played Johnny in that movie, and the whole point of the mosquitoes was because they also carried the virus, which is why Jackson got infected.
