Just try and write to me how do you feel? Once I have be doing it exactly the same !   • @theazn07 Effective for what? You can't say that one version is more effective than the other. It all depends on your training goal. If you want to train fast twitch muscle fibers(more explosion, good for gymnastics back tuck for example), you do them like he does and vice versa for slow twitch. Now stfu and go educate your ignorant ass.

  • Everybody, to complete this exercise even better, speed it down a lot. If you do this in a slow and controlled motion, your entire body will tremble and it will be a lot more effective. If brings more and longer tension to your abs, shoulders and back. Also, you do need to buy one of those ab rollers. A normal large weightbar with a 20 or 45 pound weight on each side will do the trick and better. Why? Because you spread your chest when you have a wide grip, making this an effective shoulder exc.

  • @JorickPieter please don't do that in gyms with a limited amount of OLY bars. Those rollers are cheap as hell, so might as well get one if you want to do that exercise.

    Slow is a no brainer but some people just think faster = more = better.

  • If it is that easy for you, you should definitely do these from the standing position, it is FAR more difficult, so for those of you wondering how to make it harder, that is how.

  • @filiwian I`m pretty sure you can do i slower and it will be alot harder.. If you do it slow all the way down, and maybe hold the position for 2-3 seconds every time, it will get alot harder.. =)

  • Doing it feels like your doing push up and sit ups at the same time. Since I drink on the weekends, it reduced a minimal in the very lower area. If you eat properly, combining it with some situps in between, your stomach should be flatten in no time. I try to do about 20-30 per reps of 3 a day. Do it 2 to 3 times a week to get the best results.

  • @frostno98 Ab exercises do not flatten your stomach. Only Cardio can flatten your stomach. Ab exercises only strengthen your core and muscles.

  • @MrQuad89 yes it does. very good for muscle linking which protects you from injury. you have to have alot of endurance to do this many.

  • @MrQuad89 it works so great!!! I do it for 3 hours a day (not all at once) along with a high protein diet and other excercises and I have lost about 20 pounds. It's a great way to build muscle. I am warning you that it is extremly hard and you only start off going halfway down.

  • @hasher22 For years people have talked of upper and lower abs. But thats a little bit pointless, the muscle attachments mean that any contraction of abs trains the whole muscle. What your actually training when you train lower abs are core muscles that restrict spinal movement, your still training the whole ab muscle, its still contracting the same amount but because you lower or upper spine the appearance is upper or lower. But in old terms this exercise trains both anyway, upper first then lo

  • The motion here forces your abs and hips flexors(also lats & shoulder muscles to a lesser extent) to contract isometrically in order to stabilize the body. It's similar to doing a muscle up on the ground.
