@theazn07 Effective for what? You can't say that one version is more effective than the other. It all depends on your training goal. If you want to train fast twitch muscle fibers(more explosion, good for gymnastics back tuck for example), you do them like he does and vice versa for slow twitch. Everybody, to complete this exercise even better, speed it down a lot. If you do this in a slow and controlled motion, your entire body will tremble and it will be a lot more effective. If brings more and longer tension to your abs, shoulders and back. Also, you do need to buy one of those ab rollers. A normal large weightbar with a 20 or 45 pound weight on each side will do the trick and better. Why? Because you spread your chest when you have a wide grip, making this an effective shoulder exc.
@JorickPieter please don't do that in gyms with a limited amount of OLY bars. Those rollers are cheap as hell, so might as well get one if you want to do that exercise.

Doing it feels like your doing push up and sit ups at the same time. Since I drink on the weekends, it reduced a minimal in the very lower area. If you eat properly, combining it with some situps in between, your stomach should be flatten in no time. I try to do about 20-30 per reps of 3 a day. Do it 2 to 3 times a week to get the best results.
@MrQuad89 it works so great!!! I do it for 3 hours a day (not all at once) along with a high protein diet and other excercises and I have lost about 20 pounds. It's a great way to build muscle. I am warning you that it is extremly hard and you only start off going halfway down.
