Nelson wasn't the first to use the tactic, a battle previous to St Vincent had seen British ships turning out of line and breaking the enemy line at almost every gap. Anyway still a great clip, very informative, and I lve the period pictures.
@raysteer Nelson is the most famous for it, mainly cause he used it so many times, and one of those times he basically killed the Spanish and French Navies, and saved England from a possable invasion (even though the invasion plans had been abandoned already, but neither fleet knew at the time)
