  • If you're quick enough, you can kill him before he casts CURAJA on himself. damn bastard

  • what? garland is evolving

    garland evolved into chaos

  • Professor Chaos

  • Try to hear the beat and figure out its key signature. It's quite formless. Quite a chaotic beat, as fit for its owner.

  • The final battle under leveled Warrior and red mage are all I have left all MP is gone But I have Masamune and excalibur ok mister god of discord LETS ROCK

  • @AKASUKIJOE i find that dumb that you not got the best red mage weapon waht a let down dude fail to you

  • @granis1233 the thing that made the battle awesome was high tier weapons with under done character kicking the final bosses ass its not super great but id say it is not fail either

  • @AKASUKIJOE ya know farming for the best red mage weapon is great and easy

  • @granis1233 Iv gotten it before actually but if i had top tier equipment then this battle would have been not nearly as epic with my set up

  • If there was a live action movie of FFI, I picture either Keith David or Clancy Brown as Garland/Chaos.

  • In FF1 the Light Warriors had to destroy a never ending cycle Garland/Chaos made, and since the Light Warriors destroyed that cycle it meant that therefore nobody not even the Light Warriors themselves would know that they saved the world they were in, which means they will be forgotten of their heroic bravery for all time. D:

  • @madnessdestructor2 I think the warriors of light were the only ones that DID remember the cycle after the end of FF1, not even Garland remembers it.

  • @JDZer0sk11z Actually, I'm pretty certain Dissidia is a fill-in of FF1 between the transformation of Garland into Chaos in the past and the arrival of the heroes at castle Cornelia at the beginning.

And it has been stated that Warrior of Light is supposed to be representational of all four of the FF1 warriors. After the end of Dissidia, he walked off to the castle, and that's the beginning of FF1.

  • @PenguinJusticeMedia If you have seen FF 1 full map from upper view and aswell Dissidias map then you must understand that it was exact same map.

  • scarey..........

  • Chaos's horns must annoy the living crap out of people with OCD

  • @RyanA136 not...symmetrical >.<

  • Garland Disliked this for not being the final boss

  • @SephaSora i thought garland was chaos in his second form. but that's just what i think.

  • @giygasisgiegue You were right before. Garland is chaos.

  • @SephaSora Chaos = Garland.

  • @SephaSora garland is chaos. garland used the powers of the 4 crystals to transform into chaos.

  • you gonna do Kingdom Hearts or Chrono, or something else?

  • Possibly THE BEST endgame music in Any of the Final Fantasy games. Only thing that even comes close is Ex-death, and then (possibly) Zeromus

  • Dissidia chaos is the original chaos from ff1 and my friends deny it. I got this idea while typing this comment, what if Chaos' cycle was never truly broken. What if his cycle came in different ways throughout the series.

  • I honestly think everything after VI was a trainwreck...I liked the basic FF roots then they started drawing away from the roots and now we have entire floating cities...

  • @Cislunar13 BUT note that FFI had a flying fortress... does that count as a floating city?

  • @LordXemus I'm going with

    FF9>FF6>FF4>FF1>FF7>FF13>FF5>FF2>FF3>FF10>FF8>FF12>Real world.

  • @dRevan64 For me, switch FF4 with FF9 and FF7 with FF6, oh, and I would put FF12 higher

  • ah, I remember the pain of me and my friends all grouped near each other watching me fail millions of times to get him down, *sighs* I had everything neeeded, all spells learned, the excalabur, best gear, AND I STILL, couldnt beat him, >.< I needa find me gameboy now...

  • FF1>FF2>FF3>FF4>FF5>Real World

  • God Let this be on Dissidia 012!!! Please SE!!!

  • Warrior of Light disliked this

  • i want this in dissidia 012....

  • i would love to see a mario paint version of this song lol

    I'm not even sure why.

  • Soooooo many people commenting who have names from Final Fantasy it's insane

  • This is so much better than that godawful soft rock crap that played during the final battle in Dissidia. As in this is actually epic.

  • fuck-ing-cur-aj-a

i have yet to beat the psp chaos because of that bitch move

  • Does anyone know if it was the original FF composer that wrote this song?

  • I'd love a remix of this song...

  • Holy crap!! If only it was all like the intro.

  • This should have been an unlockable, which you can unlock if you fight Chaos with Warrior of Light in Dissidia. It would have been better, much better like this. :P Oh,and it would make the last battle much more epic.Mwahahahahahaha!

  • I like this final boss a lot....too bad he was so easy on the GBA. Maybe I should get around to playing the orginal version someday. :)

  • what song is this

  • One of the best themes. I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but from 0:08-0:15 sounds like The Extreme (FFVIII) after the minute-and-a-half intro, another awesome final boss track.

  • Was this drawn for Dissidia or the original FF?

  • @weegeeandtailsdoll It's one of Chaos' original concept designs for FF1 :D

  • kool theme

  • 0:00 Claketta final Battle.0:10 Shademan Stage omg

  • Godly Battle Theme Mix 0:40 - 0:45

  • I liked the the arranged version of this in DISSIDIA, though the singer and lyrics were dreadful.

  • i'm thinking of relooping this sound also, just like i did with FFIII, but reloop it to an appropriate length

  • I don't why everyone argue whos better villain. They all are good, cause everyone is DIFFRENT, and thats why everyone loves them.

  • Kefka is actually the best. He actually succeeded in destroying the world and becoming a god.

  • beggining is like sc2 nightmare theme

  • Exdeath is the greatest final boss. who else do you know destroyed 8! Crystals?

  • chaos is better, who else do you know created a time paradox

please note that time compression is not a paradox

  • @sickoffindinganame

He used the pwoer of 4 crystals to d oit, and THEY got restored.

Exdeath destroyed the 8 crystals outright. Therefore he's bette.r

  • @TARDISES i think Ex Death is another version of chaos(in my opinion)

he used time and crystals and ex death use void and crystals all of them gone through time in a way

  • Yes, true, but Chaos wanted to keep the crystals inactive, not destroy them, so he sent the 4 fiends in time to guard them.

  • @UltimaWeapon12 no actualy garland just wanted to live forever so he sended the 4 fiends to future to send him to the past=endless cycle that he so much likes to brag about

  • Ooh~~~ I love the organs. Delicious.

  • epic!

  • Dissidia is basically a souped up remake of the story of Final Fantasy 1. Cosmos warriors are supposedly the 4 warriors of light and Chaos's warriors can be considered the 4 elemental fiends, except there's 10 of them. When a Warrior of light defeats a fiend, he gets a crystal. After all crystals are gathered they venture to Chaos' lair where the final battle takes place. I was so glad so see the revival of FF1's story. When I saw Corneria at the ending, I said to myself: "Hey! I remember that!"

  • @JDZer0ski11z despite the fact its not an rpg its still a good game for the final fantasy fan, i also like the story of dissidia 012 its more...how should i say it has more emotion in it

  • chaos is easy in GBA if you are well equipped, i had the guide book for dawn of souls, so it was much easier for me, i had my warrior wield excalibur, ninja had masamune, while ninja and BM buffed ninja and knight up, white mage kept on healing, til knight and ninja were dealin 16 hits with the weapons, taking him down in bout 6 mins.

  • didn't have the guide book, i jad the knight, ninja and black and white wizards.

and i wa at level sixty-something, with several good spells.

easy as a MUTHA FUCKA, i swear! temper/haste and defensive buffs. trust me.

  • Should have been the Dissidia final boss music...

  • HE WILL KNOCK US ALL DOWN!!!

  • he can't knock down batfink, though. :U

  • I beat Chaos in the GBA version by buffing my Black Mage and my Fighter (I did get my class change) with Saber (my Black Mage had the Masamune), while my Ninja buffed them with Haste and Temper, and my White Mage casted protective spells and healed.

  • Bloody hell, ff1 has the most confuzzling story on the face of final fantasy planets!!! Christ on crutches...

  • @theSomaru basicly for what i understand in the game. is that.. the story repeat it self

  • IMO, "Chaos" essentially is the cause of every and all final fantasies. I can only assume he wasn't killed, and the series shall not end until it flash-backs every final boss, leading up to an Omni-Chaos epic final boss.

Or so I hope/would desperately enjoy, anyway; but the final fantasy series likely will never end, simply due to marketing strategies.

  • No, Dissidia is a seperate world from the other FF's.

FF1 had a time loop in which Garland is defeated, turns into Chaos, Light Warriors defeat Chaos, and are sent back in time to do it all over again. So in fact, Chaos is killed, but exists forever.

As for Dissidia, it is completely different.

The ongoing cycle of Harmony vs Discord continues in a cycle instead of a time loop.

When either side won, Shinryu would revive the defeated side so they could fight all over again.

  • In Dissidia, though, Garland TOLD Chaos they were the same person

  • Dissidia has their characters reference their own game.

Like the example you said and when Cloud says,"Not interested." Squall has a victory quote saying ."Gone talking to a wall". and Zidane saying that he has someplace to come back to (which is a direct reference to FF9's theme that plays in the title screen and its variations in Oeilvert and Ispen's Castle.)

There are too many for me to put in this comment.

  • @ZhadoxFlamez kinda makes me think that there's some sort of scoreboard off to the side counting wins

  • Garland is chaos but the future part of him

  • so garland is chaos but chaos isn't garland right

  • WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T THEY JUST DO A REMIX OF THIS INSTEAD OF THAT SHITTY MUSIC THEY PLAYED DURING THE FIGHT WITH CHAOS IN DISSIDIA!?!

Damn, I hated all three of those tunes, I was really hoping this would somehow make it's way into the game.

  • I totally agree dude. It would've been a million times more epic.

They all say the same words basically. If you listen closely, all of them (Including "Cosmos") all say somewhere in the song "The Marching Band"

    NO F****** CREATIVITY!!!!!!!!!

  • The worst part is, they FORCE you to listen to the last 2 songs if you fight him. All they do is drain the drama out of the fight.

  • @zeldafan101293

They don't just say, "The Marching Band", but the lyrics are exactly identical. It's annoying and repetitive.

  • Well, yeah, I know that. Its an example though, and those are the words I hear most often.

  • @zeldafan101293

Oh. Well, either way, they should have used this song instead of "The Messenger" for Dissidia.

  • @PaperRayman

    agreed

  • They were okay songs, granted this one is a lot cooler.

The reason this song wasn't in Dissidia, which I don't exactly approve of, is because this wasn't in the original version. The classic FF I only had one battle song, so they just decided to make a completely new song.

  • just played chaos for the first time (just got dissidia) and my responce to the music was of course *blank stare* .....WTF?! i was expecting somthing epic and evil sounding like EVERY OTHER LAST BOSS MUSIC! great game though

  • It's fantastic, but he's one hell of a wall-banger boss. My brother never rages or overreacts when he plays video games (that's my job).

He raged during the Chaos fight.

And when I was having particular difficulty with him in Time Attack Mode, I turned the game off, got out FF1 Advance, and slaughtered him in that so I could feel better.

  • @MasteroninXIII GREATLY AGREE WITH YOU!!!!!!

  • @MasteroninXIII my theory is they purposley put that garbage song trio in to make the final battle with chaos that much harder, to distract you and make you go WTF the whole fight and lose concentration lol.

  • @korintor Haha, yeah. It only makes the fight that much more unbearable.

  • @MasteroninXIII Completely with you. This song is epic enough.

  • Lol. It's because this song itself is already a remix. All of the "boss" themes in FF1 are remixes of the basic battle theme, as the original FF1 doesn't have dedicated boss music.

  • Becouse after the succes of One Winged Angel, they think that anything with lyrics is gonna be kickass.

  • @MWaser please...nothing beats me coming all the way from the void ,beat X-DAETH while shaking my haed

  • @MasteroninXIII

Because the music they used for his fight in Dissidia owns all, and Dissidia's soundtrack was awesome.

  • @SSJ5Cloufiroth HAHAHAHAHAHA

    NO

  • @MasteroninXIII This. The Dissidia music sounds like some emo song

  • @MasteroninXIII Because they tried to limit themselves to either original songs or remixing songs that played in the original versions of the games.

This was in a remake, so no dice.

  • @RealParadoxBlues Yeeeeeeeeahhh...I got that....but then why did they bother using the horror that was his Dissidia boss music? Why not just a different remix of the FF1 battle theme? Or any other FF1 theme?

  • @MasteroninXIII Listen to the new one for duodecim, then try to agree with your own past statment.

  • people think garland was epic... LOL The Emporer was way more epic. He took over heaven, hell, AND earth. Every other villain just attempted to control something. plus he has a better boss theme.

  • to be alot of the other villains wanted to destroy the earth instead of rule it lol but yea i agree palamecia is epic!

  • to be fair*

  • Garland himself wasn't epic at all, lol. Chaos was, because in truth, Garland wasn't Chaos, he was merely a vessel, but didn't get a chance to fully recover his power after claiming Garland.

Kefka actually managed to destory a part of the world, and Emperor Palamecia did manage to become the king of hell. So yeah, I'd say the top 4 FF villains best at their jobs are

    4. Sepiroth

    3. Palamecia

    2. Chaos

    1. Kefaka

  • mm whats about kuja :D he actually did manage to destroy the earth soo my list would have to beee

    4.kuja

    3.kefka

    2.chaos

    1.palamecia

  • ...Uhh...nooooo...Garland and Chaos are the same guy, Chaos is just him with the power of a dark god.

I thought the same thing, but the canon for FF1 and Dissidia is that they're the same dude, just different forms due to time travel and alternate powers.

He's "Chaos" because he comes to embody the unbridled powers of the Four Fiends, but it's still his mind, his will. Chaos wasn't a being summoned who used Garland as a body.

But considering FF1 was pretty vague, it's easy to get confused.

  • Think of it this way. 'chaos' was the discord and destruction inherent in the world, and where the four elements reflected the aspects of THAT 'chaos' strongest were the elemental fiends. Garland was nearly killed by the Heroes of Light, but Chaos had instructed the elemental Fiends to send Garland back to the past and endow him with their dark powers. This 'chaos' entered Garland creating Chaos. Chaos then instructs the Four Fiends to go into the future and prepare to send Garland Back.

  • Chaos then took his true form when the Warriors of Light confronted him. In the stable loop, he kills the warriors, and is able to manipulate the events which cause Garland's defection to evil.

In a way, Chaos existed before Garland. Being a nexus of discord, he is able to pass through time without bothering about the consequences. Chaos's existence, which relied on Garland's death was the very thing which caused Garland's death.

  • Nah nah nah.

    1.Garland is killed

    2.Warriors restore crystal

3.Crystals relighting fuels a dark crystal

4.Dark crystal sends Garland's corpse (he does die) to the past.

5.Garland is revived by the 4 fiends and, imbued with their power, becomes Chaos.

6.Garland sends fiends back to ensure this form of immortality.

7.Warriors defeat Garland, destroy time-loop, causing it to never exist

8.Warriors return, and the world is as if it was never invaded by the fiends

  • 9. Go to step 1.

  • Though to be honest, the game's story is so vague, it's really hard to say WHAT the hell happened. I'm just certain that this was the canon explanation for Garland and Chaos.

  • Hollow Bastion is the Final Fantasy hub world of Kingdom Hearts, correct? I wonder if the general inspiration for the world theme came from this track. Which is epic. A shame it didn't come out until Origins.

  • i swear chaos is the best boss for these reasons

1.you kill him in the beggining and dosent appear til the end

    2. hes just a small knight who somehow got 4 elemental fiends of great power to create a huge loop in time.

    3. when he does appear at the end, he transforms into the real "Chaos" and then still gets beat. not a suprise considering he got killed in beginning of game.

  • Actually, you kill GARLAND at the begining of the game, and then kill Garland as a host for Chaos at the end. Chaos fell so easily because he hadn't had ample time to recover and adjust to his new body.

  • @UltimaWeapon12 And he looks like a complete monster from hell. Great artwork by Amano.

  • @UltimaWeapon12 Don't forget........

You stay in the neverending cycle.....

So he was the only villain who actually accomplished his goal....

  • @theIEndYOU not really....... sephiroth became a god (through little time)

  • @nothingespecial1 Nope. He never destroys the planet with meteor. Becoming god didn't matter. It was all abiut destroying everyone and then being the one yo ride on the planet for eternity.

  • Anyone notice that the picture in the vid with Chaos's sitting position is what he does in Dissidia the first and last time you face him as well as after finishing Brink of Delusion?

  • I tottaly agree. Garland was diffrent. Compare him to the emperor, there goals are way diffrent.

  • Does anyone else also think that they should of remixed this for Dissidia instead of using that one band? I mean their Chaos song is alright (Part 2 and 3 FTW) but this sounds much more fitting for a boss like Chaos. And does anyone else notice that all of their songs have the same lyrics? Chaos Battle, Cosmos, and The Messenger all have the same damn lyrics.

  • honestly, i think that Chaos is the signature Final Fantasy villain (not just cuz hes the evil overlord or w/e in Dissidia)

but i mean cuz hes just friggin insanely awesome

    i mean...

    hes CHAOS!

what more do you need? sure all the other villains have their own stories and possibly could kill Chaos...

    but... hes chaos.

Chaos = a symbol and idol for all villains out there

all this is imo of course :p

  • Plus, he's the most surprising of the FF final bosses. For all the other ones, it's the main antagonist all along or some random celestial god-thing that you don't know exists till the end.

But this one is a random rogue knight that you kill at the beginning of the game and don't even think about till the end.

  • And the best part of it, if you think about it for a while, the plot of Final Fantasy I from Garland's eyes can be summed to this:

Once upon a Dark Knight that wanted revenge for his death SO, SOOO MUCH that he created a whole GODDAMN TIME LOOP with the past just to kill the people who killed him over and over and over again.

Most villains try to have decent reasons to want to destroy the world, or are just complete monsters and yadda yadda...

    But Garland was just Epic!

  • But theres also Necron, the out of nowhere final boss.

  • I remember I dealt over 16000 damage to Chaos when I powered up my monk with Haste, Temper, and if I can remember correctly the Defender sword too.

He did a 64 hit with his almighty fists and gave him a punch combo equivilant to the great Falcon Punch!!!

  • Good story, until you fucked it up with a meme.

  • i thought temper was broken?

  • Comment removed

  • English

  • Here's something i remember on the final bosses: Chaos - Blaze, Tsunami, Cyclone, Earthquake Dark Emperor - Starfall Cloud of Darkness - Particle Beam Zeromus - Big Bang Neo Exdeath - Almagest, Grand Cross Kefka - Fallen One, Forsaken Safer Sephiroth - Heartless Angel, Supernova Ultimecia - Hell's Judgment, Apocalypse Trance Kuja - Flare Star Braska's Final Aeon - Ultimate Jecht Shot
  • about ultimecia, i stole her 3 apocalipse and used all together with triple magic :D

  • Dude, thats awesum! I wish i could make a list like that. All the major attacks. Thats pretty sweet bud!

  • how about Kefka's Goner skill?

Kefka can use One Wing Angel too.

  • well i didn't put all of the attacks since the character count for a comment is limited. i placed the notable ones.

BTW, Goner and Forsaken are the same. They are just in different ports (Original and GBA respectively. correct me if im wrong guys) And when you said one winged angel i think you meant heartless angel (reduce hp to 1). It's the same as fallen one and like in goner and forsaken, changed names when ff6 was ported to the GBA

  • Can't forget the almighty havoc wing.

  • @katanasephiroth

that damn big bang fucked me up.

i was only in my twenties, so it really sucked.

btw, i beat the DoS version o this boss.

    pretty easy, actually.

  • me too... rosa brought me to victory there by spamming curaja but then, it was damn hard

  • @katanasephiroth i remember it a little differently haha! Chaos: Blaze, tsunami, Tornado, and Rub. Dark emperor: same COD:same Zeromus: same NEO Exdeath: same Kefka: Heartless Angel, Goner Sephiroth: supernova, Wall Ultimecia:same Trance Kuja: same (Flare Star is Atma Weapons ultimate move in FFVI) Braska's Final Aeon: same. damn close though haha!
  • @katanasephiroth Why does everyone forget Necron!? lol

  • @thesadistgod cuz...he fails:p

  • @katanasephiroth Don't forget that Trance Kuja also has Holy. And, although not in combat, Ultima.

  • @katanasephiroth wasn't chaos' signature move flare? correct me if i'm wrong

  • @TVlolz No it really was not. Signature moves were his Blaze, Tsunami and Tornado.

  • Oh yeah, I know that. I was probably drunk when I wrote that comment, haha.

Wasn't the theme where you fight Chaos in the original game just the regular battle song? I can't remember, I haven't played any Final Fantasy games in so long.

  • Yes, in the original NES version there was no "boss" music, it was all just the regular battle song. The WonderSwan version added this song and the other "boss" music I believe, and that's what was remixed for the Origins version.

  • Comment removed

  • This is his throne, so it must be the "Seal of Chaos" or something.

  • I found a NES quality version of this...but in the NES FF chaos had the same battle thame as a normal fight. What is it then? All the remakes have the theme in this quality

  • For the PSX/GBA/PSP remake, they added/reinterpreted battle themes to add a bit of a more interesting dynamic. 3 new boss themes and a final boss theme were added, as well as some other incidental music (like a rearrangement of the Cornelia theme for the Western Keep and new music in the churches).

  • hehe i love the controversy between 8/16/32bit FF games versus 3D FF games XD, but seriously i cant decide which of the 2 i like the most @_@

  • chaos is a beast in my opinion but one thing I'm just a little confused is in final fantasy I garland transforms into chaos but in dissidia chaos and garland are two different people am I right or wrong?

  • I blame the time paradox for that greatgameguy!

  • well I mean lets recap at the end of Final fantasy I garland transforms into chaos in front of out heroes and attacks but here garland is his own seperate being and so is chaos so i say due to the time loop thing he created chaos can be his own person garland was just a vessel

  • My theory is a but diffrent.

From what I gathered from watching this game each villan have been taken in a diffrent time periode so in a way they migth have picked up garland before he was chaos and after he became chaos.

    Therefore the two seperate being.

  • that is possible but does garland realize he becomes chaos in dissidia?

  • Actually, in Dissidia, Chaos mentions to Garland at one point: "You are Me"

  • Lol.yeah,i wondered the same.

  • Final Fantasy 7 is number 4 of the better games(top 10) on a list i´ve seen.

  • Chaos sure is the lord of darkness.

  • I loved FFV music but i felt that the battle music and gameplay wasn't as good as the other ff games

  • I hate ppl who overrate FF7 just cause the previous ones weren't 3D, GRAPHICS are unimportant, what matters most is Storyline, Gameplay, Characters, and MUSIC of course!

  • That last one was the most important. Thank you for putting it in CAPS.

  • Yeah

  • Considering all thet I'd put FF VI at the top

  • Jesus christ people need to stop bashing FF7 just because it's over rated, Yah its over rated. But that doesnt stop it from being good. Jesus Shut the hell up!

  • Ha, wow, I don't think I've heard this since I played the FF1 port on playstation. This is great, thanks for the upload!

  • Hmmm I don't think this was in the original FF1 though, lol the original music used for battle with Chaos was just the normal battle music

  • Ah! Well spotted, yeah that's true, but I thought since he was the first ever FF Final boss, i'm sure technicalities wouldnt mind ignoring this one. =P

  • oh shit, who knew the uploader was currently active lol, Good job uploading these videos, I've been listening to some of them as references for my imagination
