The final battle under leveled Warrior and red mage are all I have left all MP is gone But I have Masamune and excalibur ok mister god of discord LETS ROCK
@granis1233 the thing that made the battle awesome was high tier weapons with under done character kicking the final bosses ass its not super great but id say it is not fail either
In FF1 the Light Warriors had to destroy a never ending cycle Garland/Chaos made, and since the Light Warriors destroyed that cycle it meant that therefore nobody not even the Light Warriors themselves would know that they saved the world they were in, which means they will be forgotten of their heroic bravery for all time. D:
@JDZer0sk11z Actually, I'm pretty certain Dissidia is a fill-in of FF1 between the transformation of Garland into Chaos in the past and the arrival of the heroes at castle Cornelia at the beginning.
And it has been stated that Warrior of Light is supposed to be representational of all four of the FF1 warriors. After the end of Dissidia, he walked off to the castle, and that's the beginning of FF1.
Dissidia chaos is the original chaos from ff1 and my friends deny it. I got this idea while typing this comment, what if Chaos' cycle was never truly broken. What if his cycle came in different ways throughout the series.
I honestly think everything after VI was a trainwreck...I liked the basic FF roots then they started drawing away from the roots and now we have entire floating cities...
ah, I remember the pain of me and my friends all grouped near each other watching me fail millions of times to get him down, *sighs* I had everything neeeded, all spells learned, the excalabur, best gear, AND I STILL, couldnt beat him, >.< I needa find me gameboy now...
This should have been an unlockable, which you can unlock if you fight Chaos with Warrior of Light in Dissidia. It would have been better, much better like this. :P Oh,and it would make the last battle much more epic.Mwahahahahahaha!
One of the best themes. I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but from 0:08-0:15 sounds like The Extreme (FFVIII) after the minute-and-a-half intro, another awesome final boss track.
@UltimaWeapon12 no actualy garland just wanted to live forever so he sended the 4 fiends to future to send him to the past=endless cycle that he so much likes to brag about
Dissidia is basically a souped up remake of the story of Final Fantasy 1. Cosmos warriors are supposedly the 4 warriors of light and Chaos's warriors can be considered the 4 elemental fiends, except there's 10 of them. When a Warrior of light defeats a fiend, he gets a crystal. After all crystals are gathered they venture to Chaos' lair where the final battle takes place. I was so glad so see the revival of FF1's story. When I saw Corneria at the ending, I said to myself: "Hey! I remember that!"
@JDZer0ski11z despite the fact its not an rpg its still a good game for the final fantasy fan, i also like the story of dissidia 012 its more...how should i say it has more emotion in it
chaos is easy in GBA if you are well equipped, i had the guide book for dawn of souls, so it was much easier for me, i had my warrior wield excalibur, ninja had masamune, while ninja and BM buffed ninja and knight up, white mage kept on healing, til knight and ninja were dealin 16 hits with the weapons, taking him down in bout 6 mins.
I beat Chaos in the GBA version by buffing my Black Mage and my Fighter (I did get my class change) with Saber (my Black Mage had the Masamune), while my Ninja buffed them with Haste and Temper, and my White Mage casted protective spells and healed.
IMO, "Chaos" essentially is the cause of every and all final fantasies. I can only assume he wasn't killed, and the series shall not end until it flash-backs every final boss, leading up to an Omni-Chaos epic final boss.
Or so I hope/would desperately enjoy, anyway; but the final fantasy series likely will never end, simply due to marketing strategies.
No, Dissidia is a seperate world from the other FF's.
FF1 had a time loop in which Garland is defeated, turns into Chaos, Light Warriors defeat Chaos, and are sent back in time to do it all over again. So in fact, Chaos is killed, but exists forever.
As for Dissidia, it is completely different.
The ongoing cycle of Harmony vs Discord continues in a cycle instead of a time loop.
When either side won, Shinryu would revive the defeated side so they could fight all over again.
Dissidia has their characters reference their own game.
Like the example you said and when Cloud says,"Not interested." Squall has a victory quote saying ."Gone talking to a wall". and Zidane saying that he has someplace to come back to (which is a direct reference to FF9's theme that plays in the title screen and its variations in Oeilvert and Ispen's Castle.)
They were okay songs, granted this one is a lot cooler.
The reason this song wasn't in Dissidia, which I don't exactly approve of, is because this wasn't in the original version. The classic FF I only had one battle song, so they just decided to make a completely new song.
just played chaos for the first time (just got dissidia) and my responce to the music was of course *blank stare* .....WTF?! i was expecting somthing epic and evil sounding like EVERY OTHER LAST BOSS MUSIC! great game though
It's fantastic, but he's one hell of a wall-banger boss. My brother never rages or overreacts when he plays video games (that's my job).
He raged during the Chaos fight.
And when I was having particular difficulty with him in Time Attack Mode, I turned the game off, got out FF1 Advance, and slaughtered him in that so I could feel better.
@MasteroninXIII my theory is they purposley put that garbage song trio in to make the final battle with chaos that much harder, to distract you and make you go WTF the whole fight and lose concentration lol.
Lol. It's because this song itself is already a remix. All of the "boss" themes in FF1 are remixes of the basic battle theme, as the original FF1 doesn't have dedicated boss music.
@RealParadoxBlues Yeeeeeeeeahhh...I got that....but then why did they bother using the horror that was his Dissidia boss music? Why not just a different remix of the FF1 battle theme? Or any other FF1 theme?
people think garland was epic... LOL The Emporer was way more epic. He took over heaven, hell, AND earth. Every other villain just attempted to control something. plus he has a better boss theme.
Garland himself wasn't epic at all, lol. Chaos was, because in truth, Garland wasn't Chaos, he was merely a vessel, but didn't get a chance to fully recover his power after claiming Garland.
Kefka actually managed to destory a part of the world, and Emperor Palamecia did manage to become the king of hell. So yeah, I'd say the top 4 FF villains best at their jobs are
...Uhh...nooooo...Garland and Chaos are the same guy, Chaos is just him with the power of a dark god.
I thought the same thing, but the canon for FF1 and Dissidia is that they're the same dude, just different forms due to time travel and alternate powers.
He's "Chaos" because he comes to embody the unbridled powers of the Four Fiends, but it's still his mind, his will. Chaos wasn't a being summoned who used Garland as a body.
But considering FF1 was pretty vague, it's easy to get confused.
Think of it this way. 'chaos' was the discord and destruction inherent in the world, and where the four elements reflected the aspects of THAT 'chaos' strongest were the elemental fiends. Garland was nearly killed by the Heroes of Light, but Chaos had instructed the elemental Fiends to send Garland back to the past and endow him with their dark powers. This 'chaos' entered Garland creating Chaos. Chaos then instructs the Four Fiends to go into the future and prepare to send Garland Back.
Chaos then took his true form when the Warriors of Light confronted him. In the stable loop, he kills the warriors, and is able to manipulate the events which cause Garland's defection to evil.
In a way, Chaos existed before Garland. Being a nexus of discord, he is able to pass through time without bothering about the consequences. Chaos's existence, which relied on Garland's death was the very thing which caused Garland's death.
Though to be honest, the game's story is so vague, it's really hard to say WHAT the hell happened. I'm just certain that this was the canon explanation for Garland and Chaos.
Hollow Bastion is the Final Fantasy hub world of Kingdom Hearts, correct? I wonder if the general inspiration for the world theme came from this track. Which is epic. A shame it didn't come out until Origins.
1.you kill him in the beggining and dosent appear til the end
2. hes just a small knight who somehow got 4 elemental fiends of great power to create a huge loop in time.
3. when he does appear at the end, he transforms into the real "Chaos" and then still gets beat. not a suprise considering he got killed in beginning of game.
Actually, you kill GARLAND at the begining of the game, and then kill Garland as a host for Chaos at the end. Chaos fell so easily because he hadn't had ample time to recover and adjust to his new body.
@nothingespecial1 Nope. He never destroys the planet with meteor. Becoming god didn't matter. It was all abiut destroying everyone and then being the one yo ride on the planet for eternity.
Anyone notice that the picture in the vid with Chaos's sitting position is what he does in Dissidia the first and last time you face him as well as after finishing Brink of Delusion?
Does anyone else also think that they should of remixed this for Dissidia instead of using that one band? I mean their Chaos song is alright (Part 2 and 3 FTW) but this sounds much more fitting for a boss like Chaos. And does anyone else notice that all of their songs have the same lyrics? Chaos Battle, Cosmos, and The Messenger all have the same damn lyrics.
Plus, he's the most surprising of the FF final bosses. For all the other ones, it's the main antagonist all along or some random celestial god-thing that you don't know exists till the end.
But this one is a random rogue knight that you kill at the beginning of the game and don't even think about till the end.
And the best part of it, if you think about it for a while, the plot of Final Fantasy I from Garland's eyes can be summed to this:
Once upon a Dark Knight that wanted revenge for his death SO, SOOO MUCH that he created a whole GODDAMN TIME LOOP with the past just to kill the people who killed him over and over and over again.
Most villains try to have decent reasons to want to destroy the world, or are just complete monsters and yadda yadda...
well i didn't put all of the attacks since the character count for a comment is limited. i placed the notable ones.
BTW, Goner and Forsaken are the same. They are just in different ports (Original and GBA respectively. correct me if im wrong guys) And when you said one winged angel i think you meant heartless angel (reduce hp to 1). It's the same as fallen one and like in goner and forsaken, changed names when ff6 was ported to the GBA
@katanasephiroth i remember it a little differently haha! Chaos: Blaze, tsunami, Tornado, and Rub. Dark emperor: same COD:same Zeromus: same NEO Exdeath: same Kefka: Heartless Angel, Goner Sephiroth: supernova, Wall Ultimecia:same Trance Kuja: same (Flare Star is Atma Weapons ultimate move in FFVI) Braska's Final Aeon: same. damn close though haha!
Oh yeah, I know that. I was probably drunk when I wrote that comment, haha.
Wasn't the theme where you fight Chaos in the original game just the regular battle song? I can't remember, I haven't played any Final Fantasy games in so long.
Yes, in the original NES version there was no "boss" music, it was all just the regular battle song. The WonderSwan version added this song and the other "boss" music I believe, and that's what was remixed for the Origins version.
I found a NES quality version of this...but in the NES FF chaos had the same battle thame as a normal fight. What is it then? All the remakes have the theme in this quality
For the PSX/GBA/PSP remake, they added/reinterpreted battle themes to add a bit of a more interesting dynamic. 3 new boss themes and a final boss theme were added, as well as some other incidental music (like a rearrangement of the Cornelia theme for the Western Keep and new music in the churches).
chaos is a beast in my opinion but one thing I'm just a little confused is in final fantasy I garland transforms into chaos but in dissidia chaos and garland are two different people am I right or wrong?
well I mean lets recap at the end of Final fantasy I garland transforms into chaos in front of out heroes and attacks but here garland is his own seperate being and so is chaos so i say due to the time loop thing he created chaos can be his own person garland was just a vessel
From what I gathered from watching this game each villan have been taken in a diffrent time periode so in a way they migth have picked up garland before he was chaos and after he became chaos.
I hate ppl who overrate FF7 just cause the previous ones weren't 3D, GRAPHICS are unimportant, what matters most is Storyline, Gameplay, Characters, and MUSIC of course!
Jesus christ people need to stop bashing FF7 just because it's over rated, Yah its over rated. But that doesnt stop it from being good. Jesus Shut the hell up!
Ah! Well spotted, yeah that's true, but I thought since he was the first ever FF Final boss, i'm sure technicalities wouldnt mind ignoring this one. =P
oh shit, who knew the uploader was currently active lol, Good job uploading these videos, I've been listening to some of them as references for my imagination

...Uhh...nooooo...Garland and Chaos are the same guy, Chaos is just him with the power of a dark god.
MasteroninXIII 2 years ago 2
Think of it this way. 'chaos' was the discord and destruction inherent in the world, and where the four elements reflected the aspects of THAT 'chaos' strongest were the elemental fiends. Garland was nearly killed by the Heroes of Light, but Chaos had instructed the elemental Fiends to send Garland back to the past and endow him with their dark powers. This 'chaos' entered Garland creating Chaos. Chaos then instructs the Four Fiends to go into the future and prepare to send Garland Back.
darkseraph2009 2 years ago
Chaos then took his true form when the Warriors of Light confronted him. In the stable loop, he kills the warriors, and is able to manipulate the events which cause Garland's defection to evil.
In a way, Chaos existed before Garland. Being a nexus of discord, he is able to pass through time without bothering about the consequences. Chaos's existence, which relied on Garland's death was the very thing which caused Garland's death.
darkseraph2009 2 years ago
Nah nah nah.
1.Garland is killed
2.Warriors restore crystal
3.Crystals relighting fuels a dark crystal
4.Dark crystal sends Garland's corpse (he does die) to the past.
5.Garland is revived by the 4 fiends and, imbued with their power, becomes Chaos.
6.Garland sends fiends back to ensure this form of immortality.
7.Warriors defeat Garland, destroy time-loop, causing it to never exist
8.Warriors return, and the world is as if it was never invaded by the fiends

9. Go to step 1.
ZarroTsu 2 years ago
Though to be honest, the game's story is so vague, it's really hard to say WHAT the hell happened. I'm just certain that this was the canon explanation for Garland and Chaos.
MasteroninXIII 2 years ago 2
Hollow Bastion is the Final Fantasy hub world of Kingdom Hearts, correct? I wonder if the general inspiration for the world theme came from this track. Which is epic. A shame it didn't come out until Origins.
REALmikegordan 2 years ago
i swear chaos is the best boss for these reasons
1.you kill him in the beggining and dosent appear til the end
2. hes just a small knight who somehow got 4 elemental fiends of great power to create a huge loop in time.
3. when he does appear at the end, he transforms into the real "Chaos" and then still gets beat. not a suprise considering he got killed in beginning of game.
UltimaWeapon12 2 years ago 16
Actually, you kill GARLAND at the begining of the game, and then kill Garland as a host for Chaos at the end. Chaos fell so easily because he hadn't had ample time to recover and adjust to his new body.
darkseraph2009 2 years ago
@UltimaWeapon12 And he looks like a complete monster from hell. Great artwork by Amano.
redcloud02 1 year ago
@UltimaWeapon12 Don't forget........
You stay in the neverending cycle.....
So he was the only villain who actually accomplished his goal....
theIEndYOU 1 year ago
@theIEndYOU not really....... sephiroth became a god (through little time)
nothingespecial1 9 months ago
@nothingespecial1 Nope. He never destroys the planet with meteor. Becoming god didn't matter. It was all abiut destroying everyone and then being the one yo ride on the planet for eternity.
theIEndYOU 9 months ago
Anyone notice that the picture in the vid with Chaos's sitting position is what he does in Dissidia the first and last time you face him as well as after finishing Brink of Delusion?
DexwardCuxann 2 years ago 2
I tottaly agree. Garland was diffrent. Compare him to the emperor, there goals are way diffrent.
DrDanjot1 2 years ago
Does anyone else also think that they should of remixed this for Dissidia instead of using that one band? I mean their Chaos song is alright (Part 2 and 3 FTW) but this sounds much more fitting for a boss like Chaos. And does anyone else notice that all of their songs have the same lyrics? Chaos Battle, Cosmos, and The Messenger all have the same damn lyrics.
Superhotshotbowser 2 years ago 11
This comment has received too many negative votes show
God I hate that song. if it had no lyrics it'd be a fitting final battle.
SciontheDark 2 years ago
honestly, i think that Chaos is the signature Final Fantasy villain (not just cuz hes the evil overlord or w/e in Dissidia)
but i mean cuz hes just friggin insanely awesome
i mean...
hes CHAOS!
what more do you need? sure all the other villains have their own stories and possibly could kill Chaos...
but... hes chaos.
Chaos = a symbol and idol for all villains out there
all this is imo of course :p
MetroidMilkMan 2 years ago 5
Plus, he's the most surprising of the FF final bosses. For all the other ones, it's the main antagonist all along or some random celestial god-thing that you don't know exists till the end.
But this one is a random rogue knight that you kill at the beginning of the game and don't even think about till the end.
NegativeSquad 2 years ago 4
And the best part of it, if you think about it for a while, the plot of Final Fantasy I from Garland's eyes can be summed to this:
Once upon a Dark Knight that wanted revenge for his death SO, SOOO MUCH that he created a whole GODDAMN TIME LOOP with the past just to kill the people who killed him over and over and over again.
Most villains try to have decent reasons to want to destroy the world, or are just complete monsters and yadda yadda...
But Garland was just Epic!
QuintaFeira12 2 years ago 3
But theres also Necron, the out of nowhere final boss.
PearlWeapon 2 years ago
I remember I dealt over 16000 damage to Chaos when I powered up my monk with Haste, Temper, and if I can remember correctly the Defender sword too.
He did a 64 hit with his almighty fists and gave him a punch combo equivilant to the great Falcon Punch!!!

KratosAurionFan777 2 years ago 2
how about Kefka's Goner skill?
Kefka can use One Wing Angel too.
IHATEGAYFAMILYGUY 2 years ago
well i didn't put all of the attacks since the character count for a comment is limited. i placed the notable ones.

Can't forget the almighty havoc wing.

@TVlolz No it really was not. Signature moves were his Blaze, Tsunami and Tornado.
TheSagitta969 11 months ago
Oh yeah, I know that. I was probably drunk when I wrote that comment, haha.
Wasn't the theme where you fight Chaos in the original game just the regular battle song? I can't remember, I haven't played any Final Fantasy games in so long.
lavosdaman 2 years ago
Yes, in the original NES version there was no "boss" music, it was all just the regular battle song. The WonderSwan version added this song and the other "boss" music I believe, and that's what was remixed for the Origins version.

This is his throne, so it must be the "Seal of Chaos" or something.
ShadowSonic2 2 years ago
I found a NES quality version of this...but in the NES FF chaos had the same battle thame as a normal fight. What is it then? All the remakes have the theme in this quality
Rouenne 2 years ago
For the PSX/GBA/PSP remake, they added/reinterpreted battle themes to add a bit of a more interesting dynamic. 3 new boss themes and a final boss theme were added, as well as some other incidental music (like a rearrangement of the Cornelia theme for the Western Keep and new music in the churches).
Kleptomaniak43 2 years ago 4

Yeah but the theme I found was in NES quality

hehe i love the controversy between 8/16/32bit FF games versus 3D FF games XD, but seriously i cant decide which of the 2 i like the most @_@

chaos is a beast in my opinion but one thing I'm just a little confused is in final fantasy I garland transforms into chaos but in dissidia chaos and garland are two different people am I right or wrong?
greatgameguy 2 years ago
I blame the time paradox for that greatgameguy!
cattties5 2 years ago
well I mean lets recap at the end of Final fantasy I garland transforms into chaos in front of out heroes and attacks but here garland is his own seperate being and so is chaos so i say due to the time loop thing he created chaos can be his own person garland was just a vessel
greatgameguy 2 years ago
My theory is a but diffrent.
From what I gathered from watching this game each villan have been taken in a diffrent time periode so in a way they migth have picked up garland before he was chaos and after he became chaos.
Therefore the two seperate being.
sladePk 2 years ago
that is possible but does garland realize he becomes chaos in dissidia?
greatgameguy 2 years ago
Actually, in Dissidia, Chaos mentions to Garland at one point: "You are Me"

I hate ppl who overrate FF7 just cause the previous ones weren't 3D, GRAPHICS are unimportant, what matters most is Storyline, Gameplay, Characters, and MUSIC of course!
MGassailant 2 years ago 5
That last one was the most important. Thank you for putting it in CAPS.

Yeah

Jesus christ people need to stop bashing FF7 just because it's over rated, Yah its over rated. But that doesnt stop it from being good. Jesus Shut the hell up!

Ha, wow, I don't think I've heard this since I played the FF1 port on playstation. This is great, thanks for the upload!
lavosdaman 2 years ago 3
Hmmm I don't think this was in the original FF1 though, lol the original music used for battle with Chaos was just the normal battle music
dnhyp3rx 3 years ago 2
Ah! Well spotted, yeah that's true, but I thought since he was the first ever FF Final boss, i'm sure technicalities wouldnt mind ignoring this one. =P
