Release in the forest??? Where is the forest? The ape might be better off in permanent captivity. Well, at least the ape has an opportunity, if it knows the difference. Likely killed and eaten within a short while.
Worst part is this Orangutan will probably be captured as a pet or killed. The illegal actions in Indonesia will continue despite teh best efforts by those who sincerely care. It's time to consider some drastic alternatives such as a mass relocation until something can be done.
Keeeping them in their natural habitat is the right thing to do I agree, but they're getting wiped out in this process. Why not consider moving them to a compatible scenario like south america or southern Florida?

When you buy anything make sure it does not contain palm oil. Such as Orville Redenbocker popcorn, it contains palm oil so don't buy it.
