@Ramzixox Hot oil treatments are one of the BEST things do you for your hair. And coconut hair molecules can actually penetrate the hair shaft because they are much smaller then other oils. It's a great heat protectant.
@ChannelOfShaneDawson coconut oil, argon oil, even olive oil are really good for your hair particularly after you wash it and your hair is damp waiting for it to dry as it retains the oil. I would suggest going to sally's, walmart, cvs. I think at walmart they have this coconut oil serum in the hair isle. sally's they have the little bottles of argon oil (which I think works the best)

coconut oil is great for just bout every thing hair wise especially if its dry but a lil advise in this case wetting hair wouldnt be the best becuse it wont soke up the oil and you wont get the full benefits of it..simple oil dosnt mix with water law ;) but if the deep treat ment is ceam base water base meaning not oil base dampe hair is a good to go

i was gonna try it but i really didn't like the smell but haven't seen anyone use it like that before. I'm going to try to stick to a routine because i worry about my ends and my front edges the most. i'm only 4 months post relaxer and i'm starting to get to that point where it's getting pretty thick and hard to detangle.

@coolzenist But not all oils are the same so it is a big deal as to which one you use. Different oils are known to do different things. For example,Grapeseed oil and Coconut Oil are not the same as far as all that they can do. And the virgin coconut oil IS organic.
I would say 4 times a month because if you hair is that damaged by dye and bleaching your hair will suck up the coconut oil. What I do is Coconut Oil, Shea Butter and Olive Oil together and let it set over night. When I wake i put conditioner on it for 2 hours. But try different things for your hair. Like Almond Oil or Jojoba Oil eggs and avacados. I hope this helps.
@anime1lvr I guess I do things "ghetto style" then :P I like a mixture of one egg, two tablespoons of olive oil, a large skinned and crushed aloe vera spear, and a tablespoon of honey :) Raw organic honey that is. It works wonders.

Giovanni products are toxin free. You can get them at Whole Foods, Target, Walmart, and online. Personally out of all the natural and organic shampoos I have tried...these are the best. IMHO. Hope this helps.
Ok, would just like to mention. Water & oil never mix together, ever! So chances are the hair will not absorb the oil. Try it without water, it'll work better (i've tried it)

Your so beautiful you should be a model. Since I used the coconut oil on my hair, It has been softer and easier to manage. I used Vatika coconut enriched coconut oil, and its great.
I used coconut oil the first time , left it on for a bout 20 minutes, than washed my hair again.
My hair was very shiny and stayed cleaner longer. But the 2nd time i used coconut oil, i think i put too much oil in because after i washed it out with shampoo, my hair was like a grease pit, it was terrible.
So don't know if you should just use a little coconut oil, rather than a lot.
Yep, I wet my hair too I use coconut oil it mostly for a hot oil treatment or deep conditioning.....I was furious about the brush for a while and noticed you mentioned use a brush when the hair is wet I knew its too harsh to use the brush when the hair is dry...

I've tried a variety of brands and it seems the cheaper ones are lower quality. I got one brand from an asian store that smelled like it had been cross contaminated with diesel (like from smoke/exhaust in packaging? shipping?). But usually the food grade brands like at the health food stores (at least in USA) should have nice clean coconut smell. If it smells rancid, then it has been contaminated.
Best to keep some separated out to use for food and some in clean jar for hair/skin, keep it clean.
I use two types of oils, lavender oil and cactus oil on my hair and you won't believe how soft my hair is after wards! I do it once a week, and if you really damaged your hair you can also use coconut milk in your shampoo. :) Try it! I'd love to hear your review on it.

we keep our main jar in darkness or in the fridge, to keep it from going rancid in the heat. I actually save small glass jars like from previous skin care and clean them up very good, use vinegar or salt water to purify it. Then put a small amount coconut oil in it with a clean spoon and use that for dipping into for hair or skin. Coconut oil also protects my fair skin from sunburn!! True!!

hmm isn't the main purpose of the oil ,to massage ur scalp - so ur hair grows natural/healthier. U only put it on the ends, thats cool, but hmm .. I guess it depends with each person's hair .
May I suggest Nyle Hair oil. It's coconut based with herbs you can see. I swear by it! And that bottle you're using is expensive. I cook with that product all of the time. and it is great for pain. Backache, etc.. trust me - it can control pain.

Ok. So I tried this once I saw it but i actually used Garnier Fructis Leave-In Conditioning because my hair stylist recommended it. I did it in the morning nd wraped it with a towel just like you said.. Showered & dressed. But, when I got outside it slowly started to get puffy (after a while.) u shud put a whole lot of coconut oil on wet hair, and slick it back into a bun or ponytail. a gun looks good to me cause my hair is thin....it doesnt get puffy if u use a lot of grease and the more grease the better! lol. just dont put too much on ur scalp cause that might prevent growth.
well i dont use cocunut oil i use baby oil or olive oil or both at the same time[[well i use both at the same time]]. i wash & condition my hair first then while its still wet i add the olive & baby oil to my hair. i then part it & make 4 braids & wrap a headscarf around & tie it. i let it air dry & thats how the wet hair absorbs the oil. it dries with the oil still in it. when you take the braids out your hair wont be dry itll be silky ,soft & wavy.

I recommend you use organic oils. You can use any organic oil and a great conditioner. Not a big deal.

Giovanni products are toxin free. You can get them at Whole Foods, Target, Walmart, and online. Personally out of all the natural and organic shampoos I have tried...these are the best. IMHO. Hope this helps.

Ok, would just like to mention. Water & oil never mix together, ever! So chances are the hair will not absorb the oil. Try it without water, it'll work better (i've tried it)

Your so beautiful you should be a model. Since I used the coconut oil on my hair, It has been softer and easier to manage. I used Vatika coconut enriched coconut oil, and its great.

I used coconut oil the first time , left it on for a bout 20 minutes, than washed my hair again.
My hair was very shiny and stayed cleaner longer. But the 2nd time i used coconut oil, i think i put too much oil in because after i washed it out with shampoo, my hair was like a grease pit, it was terrible.
So don't know if you should just use a little coconut oil, rather than a lot.
But noticed this girl really saturated her hair.

Yep, I wet my hair too I use coconut oil it mostly for a hot oil treatment or deep conditioning.....I was furious about the brush for a while and noticed you mentioned use a brush when the hair is wet I knew its too harsh to use the brush when the hair is dry...

I've tried a variety of brands and it seems the cheaper ones are lower quality. I got one brand from an asian store that smelled like it had been cross contaminated with diesel (like from smoke/exhaust in packaging? shipping?). But usually the food grade brands like at the health food stores (at least in USA) should have nice clean coconut smell. If it smells rancid, then it has been contaminated.
Best to keep some separated out to use for food and some in clean jar for hair/skin, keep it clean.

I use two types of oils, lavender oil and cactus oil on my hair and you won't believe how soft my hair is after wards! I do it once a week, and if you really damaged your hair you can also use coconut milk in your shampoo. :) Try it! I'd love to hear your review on it.

we keep our main jar in darkness or in the fridge, to keep it from going rancid in the heat. I actually save small glass jars like from previous skin care and clean them up very good, use vinegar or salt water to purify it. Then put a small amount coconut oil in it with a clean spoon and use that for dipping into for hair or skin. Coconut oil also protects my fair skin from sunburn!! True!!

i use half tsp of almond oil n half tsp of estra virgin olive oil and heat it couples econds in microwave..massage in my hair in sections n sleep in it..n shower next moring.
DO dis bout once/twice a week..gud for dandruff n soft hair.

great vid thank u!!! just wanna say that of course the ends feel dryer but the root hair is what is going to be the ends in a few months time, or years time whatever so make sure you keep conditioning the roots now so they will be stronger later. also, yes combing curly hair when wet is easier but remember wet hair is more fragile also so comb carefully. i only brush after the hair has been combed. good luck ladies!!! :)X

Hey guys you can also add unrefined shea & Olive oil to your coconut Oil and mix with a hand held cake mixer add some cosmetic clays to make a great Deep Protective Conditioning Masque for the hair.... Put plastic cap on and heat activate it with a dryer..... Health & blessings...

I use it but i want to know, with carrot oil do you use it at the root and ends before blowdrying or can you use it as a treatment or do you just use coconut or mayonnaise. Also when your hair is completly finished, do you just use the shine spray though i don't see people conditioning their scalp with something like blue magic grease. Is that ok to do that to keep the scalp moistured? Do you just use shine sprays when straightening or can you use it everyday?

hmm isn't the main purpose of the oil ,to massage ur scalp - so ur hair grows natural/healthier. U only put it on the ends, thats cool, but hmm .. I guess it depends with each person's hair .

May I suggest Nyle Hair oil. It's coconut based with herbs you can see. I swear by it! And that bottle you're using is expensive. I cook with that product all of the time. and it is great for pain. Backache, etc.. trust me - it can control pain.

hi, i really like your video, it's very helpful. I just hav a problem with all these oil treatments, I like them but it takes me three days to wash out the oil if I leave it overnight.... and I think I also smell coconut all that time... I love the smell of coconut, but other people around me may find it weird that my hair smells like coconut...

Ok. So I tried this once I saw it but i actually used Garnier Fructis Leave-In Conditioning because my hair stylist recommended it. I did it in the morning nd wraped it with a towel just like you said.. Showered & dressed. But, when I got outside it slowly started to get puffy (after a while.) Like it is summer I would like to know some hairstyles I could do for hair like mine. Thank you.

u shud put a whole lot of coconut oil on wet hair, and slick it back into a bun or ponytail. a gun looks good to me cause my hair is thin....it doesnt get puffy if u use a lot of grease and the more grease the better! lol. just dont put too much on ur scalp cause that might prevent growth.

well i dont use cocunut oil i use baby oil or olive oil or both at the same time[[well i use both at the same time]]. i wash & condition my hair first then while its still wet i add the olive & baby oil to my hair. i then part it & make 4 braids & wrap a headscarf around & tie it. i let it air dry & thats how the wet hair absorbs the oil. it dries with the oil still in it. when you take the braids out your hair wont be dry itll be silky ,soft & wavy.

I've seen people buy the "Spectrum" brand, you know like the vitamins? You might be able to find them in the "international aisle" of some grocery stores, wegmans, whole foods, and places like that will have them---i just bought mine online, lol ebay!
