Nafta IS a great idea - those jobs are never coming back, because America is moving past the manufacturing stage of our economy and into the service stage. The only way to NOT lost jobs would be to cut America off from outside competition. Then, yes, you'd have your manufacturing jobs, but you'd also have a stagnant economy. You can only really accelerate the process and help those who unfortunately are harmed by economic progress through market restructuring programs.

Many people are loosing their jobs in the housing (New Construction) industry, Automotive Industry, Many Manufacturing facilities and the list is continuing to grow. Quite frankly, the Bush Administration has proven over and over again that we should not believe anything they say. Bush and Chenney, for starters, should be impeached and yet the Democrats, except for Kucinich, Don't have the courage needed to stand up and do their duty and represent the people of the United States of America!
