Most people are unaware that the Governor of Louisiana (a democrat at the time of Hurricane Katrina) had to give permission to Bush to take over operations in Louisiana. The difference between Katrina and San Diego is that Gov. Schwarzenegger gave Pres. Bush permission to have FEMA take over immediately. Blanco sat on it for a week as Nagin begged her repeatedly to give in to the President's pleas to take over. But that doesn't get reported...of course not.

I'll agree with you that a lot of people are unfairly critical of Bush, but I think you seem to be ignoring the valid criticisms, too. As far as ALL of our troops being the most kind-hearted compassionate people in the world, don't you think that's a little ridiculous? I'm sure a lot of them have their hearts in the right place, but it seems naive to assume that every member of a group of men toting assault rifles is the epitome of kindness.

their weapons are used for combat, when weapons are not being used they are helping out the citizens by giving them food, medical care etc. toting assault rifles as u say has absolutely nothing to do with their actions when they are not using them. I know first hand what our troops are doing and what they have done. It's a helluva lot more than liberals care to mention.

Well the French DID help us win the USA. My dad one time told me that he thought his job sucked because Bush was President. I quote "When Clinton was in office, I had a good job, but now under bush, i've got a shit job." ... He was FIRED, for cripes sakes people! Gah! George Bushes Fault, GBF.
