@Falador321 Irrelevant point, the 360 version would just have multiple discs, problem solved. It already does this with dead space 2, la noire, castlevania and final fantasy 13. Fact is 360 is more than capable of playing any ps3 exclusive at higher quality, as the cpu is easier to program for and the graphics card is much more flexible.

there's something really nice about seeing all the games showed in this video...so many good childhood memories. i couldn't help but smile when crash bandicoot came up on the screen. ff7 my favorite story. resident evil and metal gear solid my favorite game franchises! its a great success story. looking back i still think its weird that i skipped the nintendo era. i went right from an amega to a ps1 xD

I don't know I think Atari used to be an awesome company in it's hayday and Sega produced some great systems like the genesis and the underated dreamcast. I love the PSX and PS2 had also a great libery of games but it just seems nowadays gaming is getting raped over mass media and fanboy service and is more revolved around making money on existing formules of games than how to produce something new and original like in the older days of gaming.

@MrNix2489 It took over 5 years for GT5 to come out and it only got AA rating, with most of the cars being compared to the graphics of ps2, that game failed. Mgs4 is more like an interactive movie than a game. killzone franchise is terrible, always was. The only reason ps3 has continued is because it was a cheap blu ray player, without that it would have died. The saturn didnt have a blu ray or dvd drive to rely on/fall back on due to lack of games, or an excuse for being a high price.

@MrNix2489 Nintendo have sold the most consoles, if you consider that winning. I own all 3 consoles, I spend most of my time on 360. I can't speak for everyone else but ive read a lot of surveys and research online that a large percentage of those wii's are sitting in the corners collecting dust nowadays. Google how many ppl actively play their wii, most played for a few months then it remained dormant. Ive played my ps3 even less, horrible system all round.

@SX1995able Yh this gen has been a wierd one, the lines are much more blurred than they ever have been, with multiplats stretching across every console and handheld. Gone are the days of Snes and Genesis/Mega drive where exclusives meant just that, exclusive, u didnt see sonic appearing on the snes a year later. PS3 is the first "console" to require you install the game before playing, turning their back on their target market, game installs are for pcs, console owners want instant play.
@SX1995able My Ps3 is used for about 8 shitty exclusives and an upscaled dvd player, i didnt pay full price for the system, i got it for 40% of the retail price. I would not have bought one otherwise but it was a one off oppurtunity. I dont want to install and uninstall games, or upgrade the hard drive, thats what my pc is for. With my 360 i just put the game in and play in under 10 seconds, perfect. Achievements in every game unlike ps3 games, dlc first, add ons first, smooth slick online....

I remember back then, and it was like whatever really cool game comming out was going on the Playstaion. So of course in 97 I got that for Christmas along with Final Fantasy 7, Crash Bandicoot 2,Tomb Raider 2 and SoulBlade. That was a good Christmas and I still have my Playstaion and all those games to this day.
As a proud owner of a PlayStation, I'm glad that it did what no other console has done since the NES: provide quality entertainment at a reasonable price. The PS3 was lackluster in the beginning, and it's made some mistakes, but goodness is that thing a sexy piece of machinery. Heck, all the PlayStation consoles are sexy pieces of machinery. With an almost ungodly awesome controller.
chronos was a good closer for me with the ps1 but the game that started it for me was crash bandicoot tomb raider ( goes without saying) and battle arena toshinden an tobal No 1. were just altogether sexy .. an now i must go watch Losers on my ps3 in blu-ray :) love to work for sony

Im assuming you mean virtua fighter. What was shown was the arcade version I think. That could have been the saturn version though. The reality is that sega presented the game and everyone was wowed by the effect 3D polygonal graphics had on the tried and true genre of fighting games. It basically said that it was possible to apply 3D to a genre and be successful. Sony saw this and swooped up a bunch of developers based off the hype of 3D graphics. There is no ps1 VF.
the thing that attracted me and still does to the playstations is that unlike the other consoles like nintendos and xboxes that depend too much on one single game sony does not brag about one certain franchise wich is good i do miss sega but they were kinda depended on sonic see and thats what i hate when a brand becomes too dependent on one item that item is bound to fail them at some point than boom downhill :(

However Sony have streamlined everything, the dashboard is not cluttered with a million adverts, you want something you know exactly where to go. And now with the Lovefilm release on the console... @MrNix2489 It took over 5 years for GT5 to come out and it only got AA rating, with most of the cars being compared to the graphics of ps2, that game failed. Mgs4 is more like an interactive movie than a game. killzone franchise is terrible, always was. The only reason ps3 has continued is because it was a cheap blu ray player, without that it would have died. The saturn didnt have a blu ray or dvd drive to rely on/fall back on due to lack of games, or an excuse for being a high price.

@MrNix2489 Over 90% of the multiplats are better graphically speaking on the 360 than the ps3, also better controls online and achievements but ill stick to graphics here. Ps3 either has a lower resolution (gta iv, red dead redepmtion), background texture pop ups (rdr, assassin creed 2) or just overall shit graphics from a sloppy port (fear, lost planet, orange box) why..because devs didnt want to waste time money and resources in recoding a game for cell when nobody had a ps3 due to high price.

@MrNix2489 Nintendo have sold the most consoles, if you consider that winning. I own all 3 consoles, I spend most of my time on 360. I can't speak for everyone else but ive read a lot of surveys and research online that a large percentage of those wii's are sitting in the corners collecting dust nowadays. Google how many ppl actively play their wii, most played for a few months then it remained dormant. Ive played my ps3 even less, horrible system all round.

It just got ridiculous how they added so much shit too it, The only thing people did on it was go online and/or play games, not too mention all the damn memory they inserted. @SX1995able Yh this gen has been a wierd one, the lines are much more blurred than they ever have been, with multiplats stretching across every console and handheld. Gone are the days of Snes and Genesis/Mega drive where exclusives meant just that, exclusive, u didnt see sonic appearing on the snes a year later. PS3 is the first "console" to require you install the game before playing, turning their back on their target market, game installs are for pcs, console owners want instant play.

@SX1995able My Ps3 is used for about 8 shitty exclusives and an upscaled dvd player, i didnt pay full price for the system, i got it for 40% of the retail price. I would not have bought one otherwise but it was a one off oppurtunity. I dont want to install and uninstall games, or upgrade the hard drive, thats what my pc is for. With my 360 i just put the game in and play in under 10 seconds, perfect. Achievements in every game unlike ps3 games, dlc first, add ons first, smooth slick online....

Ps3fanboys always play these things off like no big deal, like the installs updates controller dlc, poorer mulitplat graphics contrast framerates and resolution. They say it only take a few mins for an install, u dont notice the graphics unless looking hard, dont push down on the triggers so hard, they always have a pathetic excuse to justify the ps3's inadequecies. 360 doesnt have these problems which is why they defend their $600 system.

I remember back then, and it was like whatever really cool game comming out was going on the Playstaion. So of course in 97 I got that for Christmas along with Final Fantasy 7, Crash Bandicoot 2,Tomb Raider 2 and SoulBlade. That was a good Christmas and I still have my Playstaion and all those games to this day.

As a proud owner of a PlayStation, I'm glad that it did what no other console has done since the NES: provide quality entertainment at a reasonable price. The PS3 was lackluster in the beginning, and it's made some mistakes, but goodness is that thing a sexy piece of machinery. Heck, all the PlayStation consoles are sexy pieces of machinery. With an almost ungodly awesome controller.

Im assuming you mean virtua fighter. What was shown was the arcade version I think. That could have been the saturn version though. The reality is that sega presented the game and everyone was wowed by the effect 3D polygonal graphics had on the tried and true genre of fighting games. It basically said that it was possible to apply 3D to a genre and be successful. Sony saw this and swooped up a bunch of developers based off the hype of 3D graphics. There is no ps1 VF.

@socalkev And thats what 360 does.Dont get me wrong,I own a 360,but without the Xbox live feature(which is basically a perfect interface),the 360 wouldnt have the following.Yes they have a nice library,but the exclusitivity has killed that "special existence" for systems.Not to mention,too many titles are made as a trilogy(Halo,Gears of War,God of War) rather than a well written ongoing franchise(ie.Metal Gear Series)

However Sony have streamlined everything, the dashboard is not cluttered with a million adverts, you want something you know exactly where to go. And now with the Lovefilm release on the console... Well, Playstation are going from strangth to strength.
