I have an MKIV Jetta GLS 2.slow but I got some engine work k&n cold air intake,head work,crank,etc done to it going for more work hopefully this weekend and I love my vdub. My questions are.(Sorry bout the essay) do you have any idea where that exghuast system came from cause I can not find one for mine to save my life, Where did you get your chip cause I bought one online for $50 and it was a rip off and finally nice golf man
@lHlEIDLEBAUGH It was my heat shield on my cat i was rotating my tires and i looked at it and started pulling on it and the front weld had broke haha gay shit im gonna sell my 2.slow and get a vr6 GTI with an AWE exhaust system.... its orgasmic.
What was that little rattle when you were accelerating? beause my jetta dose that at 3200 - 3600 rpm it sounds like the cat is going or something just wondering if it was the same for you.
I couldn't tell you the cost, I had the Magnaflow resonator installed for $90 parts & labor, but the muffler and piping were there when I bought the car.
I have an techtonics 260º camshaft, but I don't remember if it was installed at the time i filmed this video.
The chip improved throttle response decently, and the car felt a bit quicker. I thought it was worth the $50 I paid for it used off the forums.
hey could you help me im curious, i have a N/A sohc 1.8l golf mk3 and i hate the engine i badly want a 2.0l gti engine. if i wanted to swap my 1.8 for a 2.0 would it be direct fit? would it bolt right into the old engine mounts and old transmission? and would i need a new feul system and other things like that? am i better off just buying a 2.0l golf? i would love to keep my stock engine and tune it but i have been told putting money into my 1.8 is a complete waste cause its SOHC...& SEXY GOLF!
Sup man just wana say that you can get alot out of the 1.8 motor, it used to be my orginal motor and i had that motor pushing out 138kw and about 240nm, plus the 2.0l is also a SOHC

@sknat1 prolly a muffler clamps loose. Take it to a muffler shop and get everything welded never clamped. Compression is everything

How much did the entire setup cost? It really sounds fantastic. I have the same model, 2.0 8v.
And do you have any other mods, bar the airbox and chip?
Also, how much effect did the chip have?
