Studio Tip #1 - Transitions

Thank you SO much for this tip. I video my son's football and basketball games for his coaches, and this will save me hours of time dragging/dropping transitions over the course of several seasons of recordings!

WOW, i can't belive that was soo awesome and good and also awesome work, i was wondering if everyone could explain things like you...

how can i change a video background i have been looking for it i found some sort of white secreen then chage it but without changing the secreen lets just imagen that i want to change a background of my video that i made in my room, and its not only 1 color in the background it has alot of images and etc in it how can i change?

i just bought pinnacle and want to know if it uses mpeg files, do you know if it does?

Yes, once you register/activate Studio 9/10/11 or 12 and you can edit MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 files. Even DivX with Studio 10, 11 and 12.

Yes, If you make a DVD movie and the DVD menu comes first in the timeline then that is what will "play" when you burn a DVD. Nothing will happen until you press a button on the menu to play that chapter. If you put a movie in front of a menu, that movie will play first when the DVD is loading and then go to the menu. Does that make sense?

That means you have to buy those transitions you cant use them

They come in packs that make them way less than buying them one at a time. If you don't want to see the extra ones you can turn them off in your settings.

You use Chromakeying to do that. I filmed myself in front of a green screen and then layed it on top of the filming of the computer's monitor. Check out my what is chromakeying and my how to chromakey tips.

Suppose I have 100 stills and want 100 different transitions. How can I do that with out doing them individually?

If you have music with the stills, you could use smartmovie. That places the stills to the beat of the music and applies transitions abd effects based on the style that you choose. The only other way is to place the transitions individually.
