It is hard to have again a player with Larry's skills: a forward who passed like a point guard, who shot like a guard, who took rebounds like a power forward. Instead, an athletic, shooting guard like MJ has already had severeal followers like the ones you mentioned, even if obviously it is almost impossible for them to soar at Michael's heights. But Michael is the blueprint for all those players.

Posting-up is the object of the game because it opens up everything else. It's a much more important aspect of the game than open dunks are, and without it you wouldn't get any.

Are you insane? Larry's career field goal percentage is .496, and that's amongst some of the best marks ever. You must also consider the fact that Bird took more difficult shots than most of the other greats did, and was more fearless in his shot selection. The mere threat of him hitting shots from anywhere, spread the floor, and his insane passing made his teammates much better. His passing is superior to many of todays best point guards.

This steal virtually sent the celts to the NBA finals that year, this was game 5, game 6 in Detroit, they won game 7 at home and then moved to LA for the 87 Finals.
A few plays in game 4 of that series, Magic's hook shot at 12 and the Celts just missing a last second corner three that hit front iron and went on, left the Lakers up 3-1 and then 4-2.
