explain me this: i had a Esteem implant some month ago but i dont ear very good. the surgeon told me i have my ear-drum is hard now, maybe dued by my last flu. but i dont believe to recover my earing again

The sound is bad for now, i think that it will rest always a earing aids, but WILL NOT BE LIKE your normal hearing, I'M DISAPPOINTED

is this advisable for profound hearing loss? my daughter has profound hearing loss and was implanted with MEDEL's year 2009. how much is ESTEEM?

@dutragal 30,000 USD per ear. That's thirty-thousand. I'm sure medical insurance won't cover it, because it's more important to cover stupid stuff like Viagra or Chiropractic (quackery). I wonder if countries with better healthcare plans (not America) would cover these? The cost is just outrageous. This should probably cost about 5k per ear, not 30k.

I love this! And I love my Esteem. I've had my surgery in May 2011 and now I hear better with the Esteem implant than with my hearing aids.
