@TheCombatcookie A tried and tested menu is parboiled lettuce and spinach, with an occasional slice of cucumber. Once they start getting legs I feed them flaked or floating fish food sticks.
i caught one of hem 2 days ago and that frog is a fucking animal. i put a bigass caterpillar in front of the guy and he ate the whole thing. it was way bigger than him but he did it anyways. also loves flies and moths
hi i have rana temporaria, my cat bought it in twice but this time it cant be released till its leg is better, if it cant be reliesed then ill keep it. plz could you tell me how to care for it? what setup does it need? i can get a 3ft tank. does it need 1/2 water 1/2 land like my FB newts? i havnt seen a whole picture of a setup 4 these frogs yet and they all seem different. plz help asap.
if i did 1/3 water and 2/3 land full of hiding holes/plants/logs and rocks in a 3ft tank, would that b ok?
These frogs are fucking adorable! I caught 2 of them, they're about the same size as the ones in this video, maybe smaller. The last time I caught a wild amphibian (some sort of wild toad) it didn't eat anything I tried to feed it. It didn't even ATTEMPT to catch any of the meal crickets I gave it, even when they were right in front of its face. Hopefully the ones I caught will eat. They're in a jar for now, until I can find our old aquarium. One of them always faces the sunlight when I move it.
um can you help me becuase i have got the common eruapean frog tadpoles i got them in the woods how do you look after them the have tiny stubs for back legs
@ktguineapig the best thing to feed them at this stage is algae collected from where you found them or other nearby sources, this is what they eat in the wild. Alternatively, you can feed them chopped frozen spinach/lettuce. If you can gather some sand from where you found them, this will contain microbes which they will feed on also. I fed mine spinach/lettuce and dried bloodworms which you can get off ebay. Fruit flies/small worms once theyve four legs
ur holding a brush so paint him and make him an albino coloured common frog lol

Did you got them as tadpoles or just caught them liker this?
Also do you have UV-light in your tank?
Marc241O 11 months ago
@Marc241O I raised them from eggs.
In this vid, the tank didn't have UV lighting, but their diet was supplemented with extra vits and calc, but now they do.
