  • aoo kana germany sandra deer ha dasa takra shah kushail tal kushal ossa

  • he looks like he has no enrge of singing

  • A great song in which part of Pashtun culture is well presented. True love makes the lover numb in the presence of his loved one - and such is the case in this song. Awazkhan, of course, has to leave his village as he has disclosed his beloved one who is the daughter of the Malik (village chief) opposite to his village. Now, traditionally, he has crossed the line and would be 'punished' by her male relatives. Unfortunate though it is, but that is the culture. Thanks 4 upload kushall1972 bro

  • Something is very wrong in our culture when I see men dancing and smiling ear to ear, but when women dance then all of a sudden it is condemned. Vulgar words fly and the name of God, Islam and nang and namoos are thrown around. Why is Islam, hell, heaven and sin so quickly shrugged aside when men dance and these same people who condemn women, applaud these monkies. Look deep in your 'gravan' and then answer me.

  • Salams,

I think it is okey for women to dance in Pashtun Culture if they are at a separate location (women only areas). Also men can dance in men only areas.

I have seen/heard this in hundreds of weddings.

    Thanks

  • Great question raised by u dear Bajaury. Some bros have responded to your concern. I must say that one should not mix Islam with some cultural practices. Islamic rules are clear and our deeds should be evaluated against them. When it comes to Pashtun culture of dancing, women dance and sing among women and men do so among men at happy occasions. Of course, there are those called daman or bazingar, the females of whom may sing and dance among men. It is not Islamic, but only cultural.

  • che wo aiy khandal maa we las daze germnay wotakedala. Only a pashtun would appreciate the analogy such is his love for guns!

    kher...dera shaista sandara!

  • Thanks sparlaydekana bro/sis for such an accurate analogy. For a true Pashtun, gun is his jewelry. Two things bother me as a Pashtun though: 1. those guns are made by others and 2. along with the guns we need knowledge and a good grasp of technology. Of course, unity is another necessity for great people as Pashtuns. Thank you very much for your comment and fine vision my dear. May Allah lengthen your life and bless you. Akhtar mo mobarak sha.
