The Carriers are too short for normal aircraft and even the harrier can't hover when fully laden with fuel and weapons so they have the ramp to boost the start

Only if you missed the Army Air Corps Lynxs + Gazelles and the RAF's Pumas, Tornado GR4, Nimrod and BAE Hawk + the fact the RAF operate Harriers and Sea Kings aswell as the Navy.

the Lynx and Gazelles were part of a RN recrutment vid, and all the Harriers were Sea Harriers and the Sea Kings were all RN, there wasnt any Pumas (correct me if i'm wrong by all means) or Hawks.

aye your right no Pumas, its a Merlin (RN). I believe there is a Hawk in formation with 2 Harriers at the very begining of the vidio. The Gazelles and Lynx must be army air corps as the RN dosnt operate Gazelles or AH 7 Lynx's that are shown.

847 Sqn operates the Mk7 Lynx in support of 3 Cdo Bde. The Army owns the airframes but they're crewed by RM/RN personnel. I think they've finally retired the Gazelles though.

Its not a hawk its a two seated harrier, used for training- RN Yeovil.
