@parrotbasher yes but with front end dive your rake and trail changes, which also makes them slightly unstable, and what wrong with reviving old tech and trying to make it work, prime example, 1969 holden HDT001 aka the hurricane, for an all Aussie built car, some of its tech included of all things a cctv system instead of rear view mirrors, fast forward, most cars still using glass mirrors to see behind but they are slowly making more cars with cameras in them!
@TheDh0ffryn changing rake and trail doesn't per se make a bike unstable. If you look back at the works bikes in the early 80s using anti-dive they stuggled in the bends against the smaller teams, in comparison (I spannered in a 'small' team back then). The works mechs were pulling their hair out trying to make their bikes handle well but were forced to wear anti-dive to keep the marketing men happy. Until they worked out you could just block it off. For faster cornering you want front end dive.
thats because your used to the conventional forks!!!! this test is biased!!!
now if you look at the limitations of the conventional fork such as diving when braking and suchs... and a few laps around with the tesi 3d you'll prolly choose the tesi its almost like having a cheat code on a video game.... there is an immediate advantage!!! unfortunately its an advantage you gotta get use to before taking the fullness of it.
Beautiful bike, I don't even care if it drives like crap. I like that there are some people who are actually innovating instead of polishing what has been around for a million years.
Point is that is does NOT drive like crap, but on the contrary it performs better. The guy said that he cannot perform that well on it because he has not the "feeling" he is used to when the forks dive... just that by diving the forks loose theyr ability to properly work because they are already compressed. This design gets over the problem. (If you try it once, and understand it, you start to save in order to buy it) A little weak engine though..
@yoshyoka I've red it somewhere you can actualy enter corners with much greater speed than with fork setup... And the fastest production bike with combustion engine is a bike with hub central steering... How cool is that? :))
What a piece of art! Good idea to test it against the DB5... Shame it didn't hold up to the conventional forks, because that would have been groundbraking!
could it not be the difference in feel though. obviously people are used to riding wit conventional forks but over time you would get used to riding with this set up and maybbe go faster.
If you listen carefully he would choose the DB5 not for better performance but because he misses the conventional feel he has on a fork bike. the point is that when you brake a conventional designed bike looses it's ability to damph, the tesi don't. It is groundbraking, you have just to get used to it!

Front end dive = faster steering. They found all this out in the 80s when they tried (and abandoned) anti-dive. Nice engineering though.

@yoshyoka Definitely a weak engine from the looks of it's acceleration in many of the videos posted here.
