This is SO bad!

CSI: Miami looks like this show because of the colors. Remember that Silk Stalkings was set in Southern Florida (but actually filmed in LA). Both CSI: Miami and this show employed the fluorescents and bright lighting associated with Southern Florida.

Actually Silk Stalkings was shot mostly around San Diego, except for the last season or two, when they went to the Phoenix area. The old police station for ex. is on Murphy Canyon Road a long block north of Aero Drive in S.D., across from a Holiday Inn. Stu Seagall Productions is just up the hill on Ruffin Road, north of Balboa.

No need, Hollywood is about the most inbred and innovation-les industry there is. It's obvious that Silk Stalkings was going for the "Miami Vice" look, and CSI: Miami is copying SS... or maybe they're just copying Miami Vice... what, you expect something original from Hollywood? ;)

Yep. From that intersection, drive north - on your right you'll pass a strip mall, Jack's, then the Holiday Inn - look left (west) - you'll recognize the P.D. building. in an instant. SS used the parking structure there a few times too. They also used the Catamaran Hotel a few times (the hippos give it away), and Donny DeBarto's night club is up on Convoy just south of CMB, same strip mall (heh) as Industrial Liquidators. Maybe we should make a Google Map of SS locations. :)

I guess I should have realized the location shots since Cannell lives/lived around this area. I got to meet him when he came to the bookstore I work at for a book signing. He even signed my 3rd season Silk Stalkings DVD box set!
