Starting a Portrait in Oil with Katie Blackwell

I have a good solution for those who use a pencil to draw first, what you do is mix the oil paint with water then get a cloth and wipe off the top layer and there you have it. if this helped like so more can see.

I really love your method, Ive been looking at all types of ways to start and this seems like an excellent thing to try. I was doing the detailed drawing/black/white/umber underpainting but I will try this. Thanks for making it simple and your explanations!
