I looked for nudges of reassurance that would build my confidence and esteem. I searched for a family. I searched to know that everything would be alright when the nights were too cold in the field of colors, but I found nothing but sorrow.

I cried to hide to pain and laughed to hide the child I was carrying deeply within.

I was so busy grazing the fields, intruiged by so many colors, not knowing the stings the roses carried. I felt like I was never a part of anything....anyone. All I really wanted was to be happy, buy my umbillical chord was cut too deep.

I searched for mother's milk, her kisses, daddy's strong hands, grandma's heirlooms, and grandpa's old shoes.

But my song simply says "Thank You...."

Thank you for being there enough for me, when I couldn't be for myself.

Thank you for pulling over on the side of the road and assisting me when I had no strength to carry on by myself.

I have no idea what happened, but this breaks my heart. He used to sing to my mom when we would go to karaoke at Skully's and it always made me so happy to see him, and of course, hear his beautiful voice. I hope he's in a better place and he has definitely made an imprint here and will be mised. My love to his family and friends. <3
