  • Really impressive. Gotta love the Spinners and Joni is so perfect with them. Wow. Thanks for sharing!!

  • I loved 'the bump'

  • Burt Sugarman's Midnight Special is a national treasure.

  • I love the Spinners.

  • Joni sounds great here!

  • I actually like this one better than Dionne (and I like Dionne,) she has a unique voice that lends a nice tone to an already great song. This arrangement is cool, too- I like the extra brass.

  • @charlie8575 I couldn't agree with you more!! I really love this performance of the song. Joni does add that something special to this set!

  • Kathy was 16 back in '75 - way too young. Joni was the next one - she was about 18 or 19 at the time

  • @solesirching73 wrong it goes carol, debbie, joni, kim, then kathy. But You are right about Jonie she was 18 or 19 here.

  • @dutico You must be a TRUE fan. Not many people know about eldest sister Carol

  • @solesirching73 Plus Kathy was rocking the ponytails and looked waaay too young. It would have looked like a pedifile singing to her. Joni did her thing

  • They only let kathy Sledge sing lead

  • Nice to see another Sledge other than the lead singer centerstage !

  • @andrewfrancis74 I agree. Kathy is great but the other sisters can definitely hold their own. Debbie Sledge is also an incredible lead singer.

  • Fabulous. Great to see Joni centre stage! Love her.

  • Thank you so much for posting this version. I saw the Spinners on tour in the UK with Sister Sledge, ben E King and The Jimmy Castor Bunch and this version brings it all back. Cheers, Paul, Southampton, England
