Good criticism ... I made this video three years ago. I keep trying different things to make them move along. I really admire people who can just spit it out. Sometimes I remake a video dozens of times trying to go faster each time so I can fit it all in. My newer videos have much shorter intros and exits. I'm still pokey though. I have to thank people for having the stamina to get through them. Thanks for viewing and commenting.
i just ask the co ops that grow food. who are they, they are the 2 or 3 percent of humans that grow all the food. 100 percent of the food. so long as there is profeit in food there will be food. Hunger has nothing to do with food production. period end of story. except one thing, money has to be worth something for it to work.
hmmm ... I'm wondering how much less profitable food might be IF the cost of all those petrochemicals that make the fields produce goes up? or if the cost of the fuel that makes all the tractors and farm machines goes up? Or if the cost of gas to transport food all over the planet goes up?
Worse yet, what if the those petrochemicals and fuels just aren't available at any price? ...hmmm
25 years ago there were still 2 superpowers with thousands of nuclear weapons facing each other. I think I read once that we have been close to nuclear war 7 times.
Regarding your opinion on religion, I agree with you 100%.
Ross Perot said that if you know someone who has lost their job we are in a recession, but if you loose your job we are in a depression. The same is true for food.
Most states, provinces or nations produce something in excess and are able to export their excess production. But other commodities are produceded in deficiency and must be imported.
Michigan exports apples, cherries and blueberries, but we import wheat, eggs and beef.
What do you do if you live in Samalia or Sudan? Eat less!
Of course that isn't the message at all. We are able to feed the substantial portion of the population due to the modern miracles of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and fungicides.
Also, mechanization, transport, processing/preserving, storage and distributions systems are in place.
ALL of the things that make it possible to feed so many require oil, natural gas or minerals that are passing peak.
Future demand for food will be higher because the populaiton is rising.
@Sodapop google the hungriest african nation you can think of, put in that country's food exports. you will bw shocked to learn every african nation exports food. sometimes because so much foood is produced it has to be turned into beer for export. so long as money is worth something food is produced.
YOU might be shocked, but I wouldn't be. I'm very aware of the fact that all over the world people go hungry while their food is being exported to the U.S.A.
@zthustra people all over the world go hungry, what you dont buy into the UN report that 20,000 children die each day due to starvation,LOL
look you cant brainwash everyone. its just not going to happen.did you ever wonder why your government said please do not send food to Hati after the earthquake just sent money? Because they were smart.
There's two ways we can handle this. We, humans, can take matters into our own hands, or, we can let nature do it for us. And I can assure you, if nature does it, it's going to be brutal and harsh.
Normally, I have dislike being given homework but since you created convenient playlists, this will be fun or interesting. Since my philosophy is sort of "one day at a time" based, I usually concern myself only with things I can do. I liked Ghandi's comment,"Be the change you would like to see in the world." Perhaps these videos will give me something that I can be pro-active in. Thanks for the videos.
Constructive criticism (IMO): either spend less time on lead-in and fleshing out core ideas, or pick up the pace. Thumbs up in any case.
