  • I was looking into getting a whipple for my 2012 5.0, but I wasn't sure how it would affect my car's warranty. How would it work?

  • the only thing fordracing cares about is mustang if you have a truck well then tuff dont buy a supercharger for a truck your wasting your money its a rip off

  • hello i work for ford dont buy a fordsuper charger for a truck it is a ripp off because if you do the tuner comes with the speed limiter in so dont waste you money you can go faster with a edge chip and its cheaper because you can rasie the speed limiter dont waste 6000.00 dallors like i did unless you plan on buying hp tuner so you can build a tune and get it out the only thing good about me is that can post this on alot of ford websites so people will really know the deal and other sites also

  • Should have made the new engine bigger than the stupid 5.0 retro bullshit from the past.

    Idiots!

  • @fox8950 Really, and where are you going to drive a 6-700hp car? Genius

  • @1vdn992 I was talking naturally aspirated you dummy.

GM has offered bigger engines for years and Ford goes and milks the 5.0 marketing BS from the past again with this new engine.

With 11:1 compression, these engines won't handle much boost from the factory.

  • @fox8950 Ford gave the customers what they wanted. They have 2 million people say thats what they want but OOOO NO!!! this one guy on youtube things its bs, what do we do?

  • @scottATL24

So 2 million people said to stop at 5.0L and not more?

Are you one of those 2 million retro living 5.0 time warp idiots?

  • @fox8950 Im one of the guys reaping all the benefits, p.s only if you knew what 2012 had to offer.

  • @scottATL24

    WTF are you talking about?lol

  • @fox8950

    It's not the same 5.0L from the 80's and early 90's. It's a beefed up 4.6L.

  • @idontknow5858

    Wrong.

The 5.0 is an all new block not related to/derived from the previous 4.6L 3V or the previous 5.0L ohv.

  • @HomesliceDrummer

maybe i read the wrong article. thanks for correcting me.

  • @idontknow5858

Yep, they started over with this one. It's even made with direct injection capability, which I am almost positive we will see on the 2014 50th anniversary. Rumor has they are looking to drop weight to around 3300 (new smaller chassis), direct injection for more hp and better MPG and I.R.S. It's going to be real special and I am gonna buy one :-)

  • @HomesliceDrummer

Where'd you hear this? and i should be out of college by then! So i might see ya at the dealer. haha.

  • @idontknow5858

If you google 2014 mustang, you will find some articles with some speculation based upon some information Ford has let out. Some of it is pure speculation (though not unreasonable) while other parts are coming from a source from Ford.

  • What a crappy video, too much background noise to clrearly hear the people talking. Also not enough tech info. Guess it's just like everything else about the Mustang, just have to wait for the magazines to get their hands on it before we get anything in depth.

  • I'd like Ford Racing to respond to concerns that are all over the enthusiasts forums right now regarding the durability of the new 5.0L under boost conditions. Specifically, that the 11:1 compression ratio is too high for cast alluminum pistons and possibly the rods (as there seems to be some disagreement on just how the rods are made - forged steel?, forged powdered metal cracked cap?). I know there are a lot of Mustang enthusiasts wanting clarificaton on this!!!

  • @Armen567

when you have 4 cams that can change the timing with so much adjustment like the new coyote motor, the 11:1 compression really is a non issue. The rods are "forged" but not as in the traditional forging process. Another thing that really makes a difference is the piston oil squirters keeps em cool, that's also how it's able to run 87 octane.

  • @natemarmy

Any motor can take 6-8 psi. How many pounds can the new Coyote take before no amount of internal cooling or cast aluminum pistions are gonna be toast? What is someone tries to run 14-18 lbs of boost, then what? BOOOOOM!

  • haha. this was made on a mac with garage band music. aren't ford racing blowers whipples????

  • Can't wait to see one of those 350's at my local car show. I think that new Mustang GT's should come with a full Corsa exhaust upgrade though. I recently rode in one that had a Corsa exhaust and it sounded amazing.

  • @5999cc You are being sarcastic.... right??
