I have been gaming since the NES and I own a PS3, Xbox 360 and PSP. I play most everything and curently I am playing Dragon age 2 and Crysis 2. I can honestly say that I have never played a Dynasty Warriors game in my entire life. So where would be a good place to start?  Which game should I buy and for which console? Thanks to anyone who feels like lending some game buying advice!~

@Khimeran77 dont listen to these guys. From your response, you've been gaming for a long time. If you want to get into the series, i suggest you pick up a copy of dynasty warriors 4 or 5 (5 preferably, but 4 is still good). 6 is basically a graphics upgrade, different battle system (renshi or w/e its called), and a nerfing of a shitload of characters( rather i should say that they made characters less epic). 7 is a piece of sh*t, a bore. The only good thing that can out of it was the jin kingdom

@duccAYE I looked up both of the titles that you recommended, but for the Current Gen Systems, I could only find is DW 5 Empires. DW 6 is on both PS3 and Xbox 360. So which one & BTW, this is perfect timing because Gamestop is having a buy 2 get 1 free. There have just been way too many new releases for me to get to the franchise. I'm curently playing inFAMOUS 2 (incredible) & I bought ALICE MADNESS RETURNS for Xbox 360, but I'm not sure with the mixed reviews. Thanks again for you advice!

@Khimeran77 personally havent played empires, so i cant comment. What you could do is pick up number 5 on the ps2, and play on the ps3, cause ps3 is backwards compatible isn't it? But its really your choice.

This is the worst game in the saga DW, without doubt the best and derives is DW5: DW5,XL,DW5 EMPIRE, best game!Good graphics, but boring and REPEATED fun, just pressing a single button ... that sucks.

@Killaninjuh Since i only know the PSP version i would say that since the xbox360 has better graphics and whatnot that the difficulty can be much higher because of all the buttons you need to remember and stuff like that other than that no the PSP version is roughly the same as the 360 or other system that it is on just looks easier =) you can cheat on it is why it may look easier also heh

this game can give you a challenge. but i hate alot of things about it. 1 being unlimited respawning enemies. that just defeats the purpose of killing them in the first place. another is recycled maps. and third there are clone weapons. xu zhu, huang gai, and wei yan all have clone weapons. another thing i dont like is how difficult some of these bosses are. like the death pheonix and shit. its ridiculously hard.

For all of you that are curious to whether this game is good or not... I've been playing Dynasty Warriors ever since the first one came out for playstation 1 and I think this is by far the best one. The tempo is a lot faster than all the others. The transformations are actually pretty fun and the inclusion of online play makes it a must. I was a little ofput when i played the demo, but I'm glad I bought it anyways.

Well, i played dynasty warriors 3 or 4 on the Ps2 as a kid and today i bought strike force without actually knowing if it was any good. and as soon as i started it i instantly felt home. it was like picking up the game i playedas a kid with fantastic new features :) this game has alot of the features i wished for as a kid and alot more depth and with online you got a good long term motivation. i play loads upon loads of games and this one is definitley a nice must have if you like action games

I don't think they didn't implent it because they were to lazy to do the coding or because they didnt think of it. I think there simply was no way for them to make a really good custom character creation function with alot of features etc because maybe their current netcode or idk what didnt allow them to.or maybe they'll release it as dlc (money making ftw) and yeah although its called "fury", super saiyan mode just fits alot better imo =P.

last stand (higher attack power as my hp gets lower)
