the game is clearly meant to make evan lose in the final battle he got a 2/4 vs a 2/3 night hawk and he dosent block with it i can understand that you can forget but for like 3 rounds not to block the night-hawk is just stupidity

hey all - just started playing this game with my wife and am looking for a cpl answers - 1st , If my opponent puts an an enchantment on a creature then I cast pacifism on this same creature followed by a mind control enchantment on a subsequent turn do I now have control over a creature that still has the benificial enhancement and my pacifism enhancment ? Thus rendering it useless to me until I can dispell the pacifism that I put on it? 2nd - can I choose planeswalkers to discard using duress ?

@thefishermann1 The answer to both of your questions are yes. Planeswalkers look like creatures, but they don't say "creature" on the type line, so they're not.

@thefishermann1 1. Yes - You control the creature that has been Pacified. If my reading is correct: Creature - then enhancement - then Pacifiy - then Mind Control. 

2. Planeswalker is a non-land card - so Yes, you may discard it to Duress

I'm having problems building a good balanced deck, so I was wondering if there is a site or something where I could send a list of the cards I own, in the colors of the deck I want to build (for example blue-white control) and someone would make a suggestion on how to build a good deck with the cards I own. I haven't played magic since 1999 (and I only played a couple times, even then)

but I just bought 2 of these after watching this video (and the other 3 related videos, with the unboxing and deck building). My sister has been playing Duels of the Planeswalkers for the Xbox 360, so I thought I'd get a couple of these and we could play for real. I'm excited to get back into magic and I think M10 is a great core set to start with.

@SPBTsnyder fast games with really aggressive decks are sometimes 4-8 turns. control or combo decks can last much longer. as for the actual amount of time, it depends on the players.

Nice games. I don't think voicing your oppinion on different products is a bad idea at all. In making a weekly show about Magic, you'd be more remiss not to do so. This really does feel like a fun product, and if it was a crappy, I feel you would say so.

This video was a really good example of how a LOT of people draft. I've seen sooo many people try and run three colors because they get 'cool' cards and they miss the card and play interaction with just running two.  Evan had sickness in red... and chose Jace.

@bbdttigers Then you weren't shuffling properly. With 4 of them in a 60 card deck you arnt going to see it in your opening hand every game. Also he was talking about 1 card in 40. Do you want to figure out what the odds are of getting that one card in the opening 7 every game?

@orlicr Probability is a bitch, it's quite possible to see 1 card out of 60 in your opening hand, a hundred games in a row, even if you do "shuffle properly", it's just extremely unlikely.

Probability of having 1 out of 60 in the opening hand is ~11% per game, and doing it 3 times in a row should be around 0.1%. Now with 4-of's, chance of having one of those in your opening hand per game goes up to 40%, doing it thrice in a row is ~6.4%.

Without mulligans, which would change the results ofc.

if you have a card with a landfall and play the one land that you can sacrfice to play a basic land into play tapped does that landfall get triggered twice
