Actually you are incorrect, the scripture you have there is a twist-up of 1 Kings 20:35-36 with the following verses (37-40.) Honestly, the verses 35-36 can be misread very easily, but the prophet actually got struck in verse 37, while in 35-36 it was another man who asked a friend of his (in the company of the prophet.) Please read before you write, it may help with further confusions along the way. :) Though thank you for the interesting point of view!

And remember, the companion of the prophet asked his friend to strike him "by the word of the Lord." Which is unavoidable, you either follow or you die, back in the day, the sins literally led to death, while now a days it's all paid for by one death (the eternal sacrifice of Jesus.) I wouldn't have had a lion kill someone for not hurting someone, (and I would never kill mind you!) but, disobeying what or who (since it applies to all beliefs.) you follow has always been looked down upon.

Actually, God delights when we sing praises of Him. He is also joyful when we take our fears, worries, problems, and questions to Him in prayer. Also, God doesn't hate anybody, even sinners. In fact, the Lord is incapable of hating. It's just apart of who He is.

1) I could be trite here G4 & say that the only truly innocent person to ever exist in the history of mankind was Jesus & I'd be correct. Our problem is that we have no idea what constitutes true innocence or the nature & effect of evil. We see suffering & violence in this world but fail to realise that it is men that perpetrate & perpetuate it, not God. We are in a war & the entire earth is in rebellion....

2)....Not just men because we gave our right & ability to command & subdue it away when we turned away from God. When we did that we brought upon ourselves natural consequences. One of those is that when we sin others suffer for it. God is in the process of putting to rights our situation & part of that process was the work Jesus did on the cross for our salvation, but He wont violate our freewill/right to choose until all that will choose Him have chosen. .....

Because they disobeyed God and ate from the tree God told them not to eat from. 2) I would encourage you to check out the Gospel of John. It's pretty short, and it was written to non-Jews, so it's easier for us to read in some ways.
