A proper Judge Dredd film would be the ultimate anti-Hollywood blockbuster film! Imagine a 200 million dollasr summer release sci-fi film about a fascist cop in a brutal nightmarish police state sci-fi world.

I doubt any studio would have the courage to do that.

The new Dredd 2012 film may be the next best thing to a proper version, but the leaked screenplay is a bit lacking in depth and scope. Still, it could be better than the 1995 film version.

Judge Dredd - the greatest (anti)hero ever. The film didn't really do the character justice and I doubt the reboot (out next year) will be that much better. But Judge Dredd done properly with a huge budget could blow Hollywood's movie heroes away.

At MikeAM78. That "Judge Dredd Trailer Music" was not only one of the best trailer song in the 90's, but one the best period. Would love to hear a much longer version myself. One that starts out soft and builds up to get to where the beginning starts. Powerful and exciting.

Stallone actually made a good Judge Dredd IMO, people hate on this film a little too much, it was actually quite decent. I am excited for the reboot with Karl Urban as well.
