Its ok. Don't know how old you are but I remember when the Smiths first arrived on the scene. I remember being blown away by Meat is Murder (especially Headmaster Ritual) and arguing with my pals that the Smiths were better than the Beatles, Sex Pistols etc and that only Prince was in their league. The Smiths saved my life.
I still cherish my rubber ring but I got new, louder toys. Give Pete D a chance. He's the only one (along with Carl Barat and Patrick Walden) carrying the Smiths flame.

This song came out before even McCain's first run for president. In fact this song was released in 1989 when Palin was still a sports reporter in Anchorage. They aren't bad people nevertheless. I believe they (Mainly McCain, she's pretty useless) can fix this country.

It does sound very Smiths-ish, I agree. This, of course, can only be a good thing. I was disappointed but not surprised when the Smiths broke up. This was his first solo effort that I heard, and to this day I still love it!
