This could be a good product on itself, you know that, right? You are excellent at getting to the point and not saying ONE extra word beyond what's called for. You also speak like an architect, just about anything under the sun :-) That's why I did architecture too, it trains you to be a global thinker and a problem solver...

why did you sell it?

sometimes a product or company is more valuable if it's sold to a larger entity that has vastly more marketing opportunities and sales potential. the smaller entity that sells the business can then focus more on what it's good at - In this case, creating products. The company is sold rather than creating a very costly distribution network that could bankrupt the small business and take valuable resources away from what made the company successful in the first place.
