er... no, musharrafs response was horrible, but your right, if mullahs are given power to pakistan, they will probably do the same thing as musharraf is doing, but it depends on which mullahs. For example, if you give the power to people like Dr. Israr Ahmed, pakistans governence will be much better

Things we are using now in Pakistan are displayed in museums in the Western world. Those who talks about freedom of expression in Pakistan should think about thousands of people abducted and sold by his regime. Political prisoners like Javed Hashmi. and leaders of main political parties ousted from politics and country to promote extremism. This video and comments like mine do exist in youtube because Pakistani Intelligence agencies can't influence, threaten or beat up its editors and owners. Journalists in Pakistan are even killed if they don't listen to advice of agencies.

His only interest is to stick to the power forever and that he calls National interest. Student goes through the theoretical rhetoric, would have been better if he had availed this opportunity to provide practical solutions. Customary the public claps and whistles while sitting on their bums for someone else to take charge. Another entertaining show, brilliant way to waste time (as if 58 years are not enough) at the 'taxing' public's expense.

some of the comments are downright disgusting, without people like this young scholar giving there lives' when the British empire was ruling the Indian sub-continent, we would have no Pakistan, also without scholar's to teach us even the basics of Islam, we would not even know the basic tenants of our faith. I can just SubhanAllah, musharaff struggles with his language in his reply, it's almost as if he admits he's been upstaged. So can we please stop all hypocritical comments.

Just hear stupid Mushahid, he reads Jamiah (university) as Jameeyat (organization or a body) instead, and reads it in the worst of pronunciation, then has trouble reading 'uloom and forgets to join it with islamiyyah (he reads jameeyat aloom [bad pronunication of 'uloom] islamiyyah instead of jamiah 'uloom-ul-islamiyyah)...and this is one of your ministers!!! And the shaykh has to correct him by pronuncing his university's name again...and people think Mush and his "chamchas" are learned people!

You agree that his Urdu is rubbish (and your excuse is that he's non-Urdu speaker) and by saying so you made my view stronger: He's not a learned man because living all his life in Pakistan and learning Urdu, he still can't speak it correctly! Just read my comments again, this shaykh is also not a native Urdu speaker--kakakhail (pashtun) but compare his Urdu to Musharraf and Mushahid! No comparison!

Allahmudillah...great stuff. This shaykh is very knowledgable and learned person. People say Mush is good because he's allowing the mulvi to speak but the truth is if Mush hadn't played with Islam there would've been no need for this shaykh to come and give a tongue-lashing to Mushi. His Urdu will put majority of Pakistani people, especially people living outside of Karachi, to shame. And he's not even native Urdu speaker--kakakhail.

Read Hamza Alavi's work on Independence Movements and see how real scholars have told us about as to "why" Pakistan was created.
In short, Pakistan was not a state with Islamic ideology at the time of its formation; it was formed by a "secular" view in mind. Quaid-e-Azam was against an Islamic country, and wanted a "secular" country.
