You keep, what appears to be, a tightly locked grip. Typically one would use a more open or at least a looser grip ( I shoot completely open) to reduce torque. Do you have any consistency problems or have you worked through them?
@TXHogHunters It's rated at 320 fps at 31" and 60lbs. I love this bow man, but if I were you I'd go down to your local archery store and shoot it. The bow is super smooth and I get tight groups at 80 yards.
@gutarguy229 yeah just walked over to my PSE Bow Madness XS and looked at the badge expoxied to the limbs, and hey sure enough it's a PSE Bow Madness XS. lol are you kidding me dude? The the limbs are past parallel. What do you even know about archery "gutarguy" ?
@rageshift oh for sure! That was the main reason I bought it, it just felt right when I shot it. Super fast, and super smooth. Check out the updated video!
hi, im 14 and pretty strong for my age, im just now getting into bow hunting ( have been rifle for years ) and am a little concerned with the draw back... i think i can handle 60 pounds but am constantly rethinking about just getting a smaller 50 pound bow, but is that as effective on deer? thx for any info and tips!!!
@MrSwampdonkey99 Hey bud! If you know who Ted Nugent is (you should!) He always says he has his bow set to 50# and he seems to do well! I have zero experience hunting, but I do know that you don't want to shoot a bow that's too heavy for your body type. I shot a 75# bow and had no trouble pulling it back for about 10 shots and after that I started hurting my shoulder. Get a # that you're comfortable shooting a few rounds so you can get confident with shooting it!
@Metalman326 Awesome man! thx, for all my life ive been raised around rifles and still love hunting them, im just craving that challenge and feeling of success ive seen the bow hunters on T.V. and finally decided to try it.... btw since i am new to the sport im still searching for a good bow thats priced under $500, ive been looking at the Bear Archer Strike, have you heard any good or bad about it? thx!!!
@MrSwampdonkey99 I think the Strike is a pretty good bow, especially for the cost. I've only ever shot a Bear Charge and I didn't like how much shock it produced when shooting. You should check out your local archery shop and shoot the Strike and see how it feels when you shoot it. The Charge doesn't have string suppressors so that probably accounts for the forward shock the bow produces. You might be able to pick up the bow I have for under $500 since it's a 2011 model. Gooodluck!
@Metalman326 Will do! i think im going to try out the new PSE 3G Stinger, the model i looked at had a wt of 45-70, that is perfect i think, maybe im weaker or stronger than i think, and i can also grow and let my little cousin take a shot at hunting with it. But yeah im goin to gandermountain today or tommorow to check em out! Thx for all your help and knowledge!!! I'll post a vid of the 12 pointer i kill next year with it ;) haha good luck to ya man, and thanks again!
Just bought one too :) What we have are the NEW XS MP. they have a little different idler pulley, a faster Pro cam than the regular xs, and a curved limb like the higher priced pro series. I had a bowtech tribute that was great, but hard times meant sacrifices. I would recommend this bow to anyone. Good luck in the woods. Peace
Shorten your draw length about an inch. You are not shooting badly but you will shoot better. I have the bmxs for 2 years now and love it. Very forgiving
@TheSwampbuck1962 Hey thanks man. That was my first day ever shooting that bow and just before that I got into archery. I'm using an open grip and shooting 1 inch groups at 60 yards consistently! Thanks for the tip man, and good luck to you and your son this hunting season!
Thats a sick bow man. I had a mathews switchback but i bought the beast by PSE today and i can honestly say that i'm addicted to precision shooting equipment
ur draw length is to long the string should come to the tip of ur knose corner of your mouth if u do this u will be able to shoot alot better bc of your forum
@alpie3269 Thanks man, it's definitely a super smooth bow. I was just getting into Archery when I shot the vid so my form isn't the greatest... I'm shooting it confidently at 70 yards now with pretty tight groups!
hey i got mine in the 32" ATA about 5 or 6 weeks ago. These things are sweet. Im almost doneoutfitting mine i just need to buy my stabilizer and quiver, and then im done.
@muddslinger2008 nice man! I'm done with decking it out for now. I just got a Hitman 7 sight, and customized it with a longer brace. I've been shooting at 70 yards and getting 4inch groups!
@660ATVman I'm not sure why I said brace because it's just the mount for the Hitman 7 sight. I swapped out the Hitman 7 mount for a mount from the Alpha Micro V5. My Sight is further out than my stabilizer, so its actually added better balance to the bow.
how much
MsPaintballers 1 month ago
@MsPaintballers About $500 for the bow, and I probably have another $300 into it.

Gtreat bow bought for my son for his first a year ago.. The problen is we have it maxed out at 50# Gonna have to buy him a new one next year.. KIDS!
One word of advice if I may... open your bow hand and relax you will shoot much better groups..
And rock on...
