That engine alone is at least $40K used! Sigh, one bad thing about turbines is that they fail NVH testing in most small-scale applications, LOL! But who cares I guess.

@9b8 That's not quite correct, you could easily get one in decent condition for about 4K US. It wouldn't have logs or be an overhauled engine though so you would have to perform an overhaul and inspection yourself.

I have a GTD-350 (effectively a Russian version of an Allison 250) that I've overhauled myself that cost about that. It was in great condition internally but a bit battered on the outside. Sure I took a bit of a risk on it but it definitely paid off.

The benifit is weight...your big block weighs 8-900 lbs. This is only 140 lbs. 88.5 MPH so far...Because of it's weight or lack of,it needs droop snoot,ride plate,B impellar for 100 + mph.Another beifit is 100k hrs at 100% engine...V8 blows up

actually nautiguard, that is a rolls royce (or allison) 250. it weighs 180 lbs. and produces just over 400 hp. i think output shaft rpm is about 6630
