In my opinion the guys who produce photorealistic cinematic game trailers (Blur studios) should be the guys responsilbe for directing these comic movies. Their short trailer sequences look much better than the material released from hollywood.
Great review , However the Deadpool is not the only thing that failed in this movie. The major thing they failed in this movie the X-men 2 did so well is Logan escaping the Adamantium bonding facility. In x-men 2 you see him sream with soldier's blood on his hands as to indicate Logan's violent past. But they never show it, What was the point of joining Team-x , he was a waste of space. Hates flying, would not even punch in the mission. he was better off in the dark room.

I have a rule of thumb for movies, if the story is well done and the characters are developed, I don't mind if people change stuff to something that never happened in the comic.
i can't complain to much it had gambit in it finally. after we were promised him from 3. the only problem with 3 was no gambit. we got the ones we really wanted

I agree with this review mostly, but I think your being a little too forgiving. I know your a comic book junkie, and it's hard to walk into this movie and see all these great stories basically destroyed to cram it into a PG-13 90 minute movie. I wish they'd just restart this series over at Marvel so we'd get some faithfulness and good continuity.

Actually the Deadpool thing crawling towards his head and the part where he is in the bar both happened. Depending on what theater you were at you saw a different secret ending. And there is actually both a Deadpool and Magneto movie in works.

The movie was ok. I'm a Marvel fan, but I also agree that these movies aren't made strictly for the fanboys. They are made mainly for the larger audience who never opened a comicbook in their lives and aren't familiar with these characters. We can't possibly expect them to be that faithful to the comic. So I agree with Kev - good movie, but controversial for the fanboys. Although, as I said, I'm a fanboy myself and the changes didn't bother me at all. I just watch these movies with an open mind.

Mabye gambet and deadpool will have bigger roles in that movie and also explain why sabretooth never told wolvrine they are brothers in 1 and 2

I agree with this review mostly, but I think your being a little too forgiving. I know your a comic book junkie, and it's hard to walk into this movie and see all these great stories basically destroyed to cram it into a PG-13 90 minute movie. I wish they'd just restart this series over at Marvel so we'd get some faithfulness and good continuity.

Actually the Deadpool thing crawling towards his head and the part where he is in the bar both happened. Depending on what theater you were at you saw a different secret ending. And there is actually both a Deadpool and Magneto movie in works.

for thoes of u who are pissed about deadpool in the "wolverine" movie. ...first of all, deadpool was not finished being created and stryker wanted to unleash him, so obviously he is not going to be like the comic book...and finally, i didnt realize that this movie was based on deadpool....o wait! its not, it about wolverine and how he became who he is. .not to mention comic books and movies are always different. people should just lighten up and appreciate this movie, lets see u do a better one.

Holy fucking shit I TOTALLY AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU ARE SAYING. You hit the nail right on the head. That is what I tell people who don't know about Deadpool that he is like Spider-man but a Mercenary. Yes it was a passable movie but like you said to the die hard fans it is complete garbage. I hated it. I don't mind if Hollywood leaves stuff out but don't make up bullshit that never existed that just really makes people hate the movie and this is a clear example of that.

Well, I never seen the Phantom. Personally, I thought Catwoman was a pretty horrible movie.
As for Wolverine... I haven't been particularly partial to watching it. I guess I'll pass.

Also, one thing that Seriously pissed me off about X-Men Origins: Wolverine was the fact that Gambit Does Not Have a New Orleans accent at all. I'm surprised Kevin didn't mention that.

The movie was ok. I'm a Marvel fan, but I also agree that these movies aren't made strictly for the fanboys. They are made mainly for the larger audience who never opened a comicbook in their lives and aren't familiar with these characters. We can't possibly expect them to be that faithful to the comic. So I agree with Kev - good movie, but controversial for the fanboys. Although, as I said, I'm a fanboy myself and the changes didn't bother me at all. I just watch these movies with an open mind.

I loved Phantom the movie, All tough Im a great fan of the Phantom comics. It was a good movie, like Indiana Jones-like. but it wasnt true to the comics. Still a great movie. havnt seen the wolverine movie yet. dont know if I should.

thought it was kinda messed up when they put the adamentium in him couse they just drilled him without putting him to sleep or anything and then pored the molten steel in him... I mean what was making it stick to his bones and not just burning it´s way through his body, and then getting shot in the head and loosing hi memory... he´s bin shot a million times in the head! when he was being executed in the men movies but never lost his memory or anything

Well said. I've been telling everyone that if your not a comic fan its a great movie. Yes great. Its got everything you want if all you know of wolverine & the x-men is from the 1st 3 movies. That being said if your a comic fan this is a piece of s#it that ruins all the origins of the charachters & weapon x. Wolverine is "weapon x" for like 3 seconds then turns on his creator. I dont know how they would make a deadpool movie out of this, they ruined him! But if you dont know that its good.

people (mostly fans overhyped it). After seeing X-men 1 through 3 we should have seen this coming I was not surprised.
I liked X-men 1 and 2. Than X-men 3 really disappointed me. I had high expectations. Now Origins was mediocre as best. It is a prequel so you knew everything that would happen.
Than Deadpool the merc with a mouth do not get me started.
The movie had so much potential. I liked Sabertooth, but I am getting tired of Wolverine ever since X-3.

I agree the video, I thought the movie was great but i never read any comics. Gambet was awsome. Deadpool was cool, at first with badass swords and smart ass mouth. they did fuck him up at the end. But he was still alive at the end, I thought that seemed a little extreme, but ok. I heard They coming out with another xmen movie in 2011 focused on magneto. Mabye gambet and deadpool will have bigger roles in that movie and also explain why sabretooth never told wolvrine they are brothers in 1 and 2

The movie was watchable I suppose but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Hugh is still great at playing Wolvie, but they did make a mess of the storyline. Not a fan of mixing AU origins, and not apologizing for it!
Totally agree Kev, they massacred the Deadpool character. Gambit was a bit young...and not a fan of Liev's Sabes! Not into Emma Frost either, or her "sister"!
