These guitars sound like they look: flat. Sounds a little pale, such as sheet metal. Real guitars are made from 100% wood. The only high on this guitar is its price.
@MegaSmud It's not exactly an expensive domestic guitar either. What do those start at, like 700 bucks? Parkers start at under a grand. More high end Parkers cost more, but the same can be said for higher end American strats. I don't see what your beef is with Parker. Not even wanting one for free, you've clearly never played one and are just butt-hurt about something.
@cbrandom For me, parker guitars are ugly, especially the fly. And I don´t like its sound. Framus Panthera, Stratocaster, Gibson, PRS, that´s what I prefer. Is that bad? Do I have to be beheaded?
@cbrandom I'm a guitarist, I played guitar for years: acoustic guitar, classical guitar and electric guitar. I also played the piano and drums. Photography is my hobby.
um..... although the guitars and sounds are good.... but parker's gotta keep up their consistencies. i bought a parker fly deluxe. the strings arent aligned with the neck. there is very little space between the high E string and the neck and every time i play that string i have to purposely push it up so that it doesnt "slip off" the neck. i checked a lot of other parker guitars, they have the same problem. such priced guitars should never have this problem. i am disappointed.
i think that parkers are really good, but serriously they need to get some better players into their videos man, guitars just look better when someone like guthrie govan is ripping on it....for parkers theres like barely any material with good guitar players hauling ass on em.
I really think those bursts are an aesthetic mistake. I love the shape of the Fly. Even the singlecuts (Just bought my first!). But to try to run the "burst" effect all the way up to the bouts just doesnt feel or look right. It feels forced. They should stick to the "plectrum" shape and leave the bouts black or whatever color the back is.
Come on Parker... Youve got a good thing. Keep it going well!
what's the difference between a fly and a fly mojo??? and the nitefly?? sorry if I'm being silly but just got into these beauties...so planning to save my years salary to get one
The P-series guitars are lower quality, but still have an amazing sound. They're good for starters or if you're looking for a nice guitar for a good price. Now the Flys and Niteflys are even better and are normally American made which makes their sound alot better. Don't underestimate the P-series though. All parker guitars are good. There is no such thing as a cheap quality parker guitar.
So was it really necessary to go apeshit on me? I'm sure just about everyone knows the Niteflys are better than P-40's If they don't well then I just added information to what you just said.
I`m the proud owner of a Parker Fly Winter Season Mojo Fly, I first held it in my hands at the NAMM show in LA, January 2008. This is a prototype, serial no. P0712301. I called USMusicCorp. to have a Certificate of Authenticity, but they refuse to know the whereabout of this guitar/this item (?). To those of you who pay an enormous amount of money to have 1 of the 25 chrome guitars from this production line,-
If any CKY fans are reading this, then go to the alliance boards! Theres some amazing pictures og Deron Millers Custom parker! If I had the money, I would buy 5 of em' when they come out!
I have one too, and love it. But I can understand skmetalhead16 - they're too weird and modern-looking for some people's taste. And I'm not saying that derrogatively, because I also have a Telecaster :)
I don't remember seeing it. While the people at the factory were so cool, they didn't point out any Fly's that were being custom made... we had to ask! :-)
I want one. But Im not paying for it. I can imagine the sustain and resonance wouldnt be too great either, with such a thin body.

@MegaSmud Aww, someone is sad cause all they can afford is a piece of shit asian import..
cbrandom 10 months ago
@cbrandom An american stratocaster for example, is not a cheap asian import. I don´t want a Parker, not even for free.

@MegaSmud Why don't you go take some more pictures of tree sap? You clearly have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to guitars.

@myway43, no - so far they've only done two. This one in May of 2008, and another one in 2009.

wow that guy's thumbs in the beggining are so stubby its scary
ripbaloff 2 years ago
@ripbaloff
They're stubby because he carves the guitars by rubbing trees with his thumbs.

whoa! is that body thinner than the Ibanez s series?!
dropkickurteeth44 3 years ago
That's the thinnest, lightest-weight body going. Ibanez can't touch Parker. Period.

@guitarosaur No shit. My Strat is lighter than my RG570... The Floyd Rose adds a couple pounds alone.
