The reason for this anime is that the Seiyu for Misato (Evangelion) read the manga and laughed in between takes. She got the entire staff hooked on the manga and so Anno-sensei decided to animate it.

I've seen every episode and this is my favorite by far.

The picnic turns into pandemonium when they bring out the sake AKA wine. And then everyone started getting hit with stuff! Then it was just Ebichu and Maa-Kun left. And Ebichu randomly throws a bottle at him! And he still loves her! You missed some of the times when he got a boner though.
