  • How about this Epstein, esq., Woo, esq,-Screw POTUS, screw SCOTUS, screw CONOTUS! States, people, get a backbone and NULLIFY. Done. Finished. Move on.

Obamacare is about tax revenue. Nothing to do with healthcare. This is B.S.

  • I like the music...

  • While he is certainly a first rate mind, where does the former director of the Office of Legal Counsel get off constantly interrupting one of the greatest legal thinkers in the history of the republic?

  • If you were born 10 years ago today in Afghanistan you would of lived in a war your whole life,

  • When Rand Paul wins in 2016, I would like to recommend Richard Epstein as Attorney General.

  • John Yoo is ROCKING that bow tie!

  • For those of you looking for more of Epstein and Yoo, they host a terrific podcast called "Law Talk" on Ricochet.com. If you liked this interview, you'll love their show. Check it out.

  • Yoo's a bright guy too bad he'll always be associated with torture. Interesting

stuff and insight into the court that put our Democracy up to the highest

bidder with decisions like Citizens United. The Constitution was overturned

with the Patriot Act and they weigh in supporting it. They are non political

as both parties support this race to the bottom of the banana republic barrel.

Is Obama care unconstitutional? Who cares with these issues on the table.

  • LISTEN, UNDERSTAND, DECIDE. RON PAUL 2012

A vote for Dr. Paul is a vote for yourself. He wants to limit gov intrusiveness in our lives & allow us to make our own choices. Stop politicians & the elites from thinking that they’re so smart that they know how to run our lives better than we do. He is one of the few politicians that will make difficult decisions, he will balance the budget by his 3rd year, while most politicians plan to balance the budget after their term is over

    VOTE RON PAUL 2012

  • Perhaps it would have been better to stretch the program out to two hours (hehe) so that Epstein and Yoo would have enough time to spell out their positions better without the crosstalk. I enjoyed the extended program.

It might be an idea to try to make the program title differentiate a bit more since there was another UK discussion with Epstein and Yoo maybe a year ago and I initially thought this was to be a rerun.

  • Fantastic. Thanks for this!

  • Epstein sounds like he is reading a teleprompter or a book while talking... pretty amazing. He just need to let John speak a bit more.

  • Interesting program! Epstein and Yoo sit on different hills in the conservative legal landscape, and the difference in their perspectives is fun to observe.

  • I would like to see a whole hour on that last 5 minutes, actually..

  • This was incredibly fascinating.. what a great discussion.. I wish the spent more time talking about Obamacare and the supreme court and a few of the other topics..

  • This is the most intolerable programming, unfortunately, to host one of America's greatest minds, Richard Epstein, because John Yoo thinks cutting Richard off or talking over him when Yoo is clearly either: (a) stating the obvious, or (b) pontificating with sheer ignorance of the situation. See the part where Richard is unable to discuss his take on an important brief prepared for the Supreme Court Obamacare hearings...that the Supreme Court asked Richard to write himself. Epstein owns you Yoo.

  • GREAT! interview.

  • The Hoover Institution is a treasure.

  • Ahhhh "I was thirsty and you gave me to drink" a brilliant conversation. Thank you

  • Yoo is a positivist, extra-legal, progressive in the worst sense, unfortunately. To him, political expediency and "crises" justifies illegal policies. No shocker

  • @hooverinstitution my god is this a great discussion.

  • More Epstein! More Sowell!

  • Epstein really needs to let other people talk.

  • @fargley001 No. Epstein is a certified genius on this topic, others need to sit quietly and listen to him. Smart people pay tens of thousands of dollars to sit in front of him.

  • @0HippyHunter0 That's an interesting point of view, 0HippyHunter0. I wonder why there is a second guest on the shown, then.

  • What is really instructive about this discussion is the interpretations of the individual supreme court justices personal motivations for their decisions. That should be the last thing considered in their decisions. The constitution should be the first.

  • @5:38 Right on! I was about to call foul on this question. This is the paradigm that has allowed the endless growth of government. One must ask "where is the AUTHORIZATION for such legislation". Its sad that this is seemingly such a foreign concept to the so called highest level of arbitration.
